17- this is the only thing I could think of that my parents specifically told me and emphasized. I was not allowed to have a boyfriend, and if my dad had his way, I wouldn't even be speaking to boys! So my senior year in high school, I had my first boyfriend. The only reason I even had a boyfriend was because I gave into peer pressure (the girls on my drill team squad thought I was odd because I had never had a boyfriend) and he turned out to be one of the sweetest guys I ever met! I kept it a secret and only my little brother knew (because we went to the same high school) and broke up with him before graduation. How old were you when you first procrastinated on a big project, for work or school? and how did it turn out? |
I always procrastinated through school, but there was one big one where I swore I'd never do it again! I was taking a pavements class, where basically we would design asphalt mixes. We had months of labs where we made samples and tested samples, and in the end my instructor wanted a full asphalt mix report including types of designs, charts, graphs, calculations, everything. I left it until the last weekend :D So the day before it was due, I sat down at my computer for 15 hours STRAIGHT without even eating. After 10 hours my laptop crashed and I hadn't saved and I just burst out in tears. Luckily it had backed itself up :) And I never left anything that big until the last minute again! Oh yeah, I ended up getting 96% HOWYW you discovered your favorite restaurant? |

18. Went to Myrtle Beach...the week after we graduated HS. Oh yeah...her brother let us take his vette....we thought we were all that. ;) What age did you live on your own? No assistance. |

7 years old. Got in a fist fight with Jennifer P. The neighbor kids watching....clapped afterward. That probably wasn't nice...the clapping not the fight. She deserved it. Age when you got your first pet? |

7, I think. Maybe 8. Such a big difference in our ages then. Now we're both just a couple of ol' guys, 45 and 52. HOWYW you flew in a small, private airplane for the first time? I was 25. |
Wow Mike! First, I didn't realize you had so many siblings (reading back on your other answers), and I didn't realize there was such an age difference! How interesting! I've never ridden on a private airplane. psh. But I rode on a pack of gum launched by a rubber band when I was 11 (almost 12) on our way to the Bahamas! That was a couple weeks before I joined here. Woohoo! :) HOWYW you first felt REALLY homesick whether you were living at home or not? |
Good question, and I know exactly. 30. It was my first year in Alaska, and I had tickets to fly "home" for a Christmas with my family in California. Snow and fog closed the Seattle airport, which was my connection, so my flight was canceled. I'd never felt more isolated and alone in my life. HoWyW you cheated on a test for the first time. |
