ALL GIRL TO ME!! (MY Avie is a GIRL!!) i had NEVER heard of Avery being used as a Boys name, until After we had our lil one!! After we named her this, we also had a couple people tell us their daughter had a friend with this name, etc. So like someone posted before(everyone they know with the Male version is over 30 years old.. So maybe it came back as a girls name-even though its not a name you hear a whole lot)

My little girl is an Avery. Avery Brooke! I have to repeat her name to many people but they all seem to love it. I picked it because I thought it was uncommon. Still more uncommon than my first daughter's (Courtney) but I have since found more Avery's that are girls ~ I've ran into 4 others since naming my little girl this 6 years ago. My family wasn't crazy about it & suggested Ava but everyone agrees now she is definatley an Avery!! And the best thing ~ she's the only Avery in her class!!!

I think my family was like WHAT?? AVERY?? Thats a boys name....then as soon as she was born everyone loved it. Its funny after 15 years of saying it I still don't get tired of it, and when I ask her if she likes her name she says YES I love it! I think its still fairly uncommon....I do not know 1 Avery thats even close to her in age, as a matter of fact yours being 6 years old is the closest in age I have heard. I do know of 2 people naming their daughters Avery after meeting my Avery one even called and asked if I minded I said HECK NO I take it as a compliment! I think there is a lot in someones name...I mean it's your name its with you for life!

guess what...my daughters Kindergarten teachers first grand daughter was born a month pre-mature today, and they named her Avery!! So heres the weird part.....Today is my daughters Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!

SHe was named after my Avery, and they have the same b-day how ironic???
