beauty runs ion the family ..... Quote:
your baby is beautiful .... and I LOVE her name .... :note: My daughter has a unisex name as well, and it works GREAT when we get phone calls asking for Mr. ..... helps weed out the "unknowns" ... |
She is very beautiful and I love the name Avery. My daughters name is Corri and this happens all the time, but we've never been denied insurance claims because of it. It was on my income tax return for years that she was my son. I told them every year that she was a girl, and finally they changed it. She has just started college and during this summer colleges and army recruiters would call for Corri and leave a message for HIM. I still like unisex names and if I had another daughter I would name her a unisex name too. |
She is beautiful! I have never known Avery as a boy name. Sorry for the trouble you've been going through! |
Does the insurance company have a local agent? That might be helpful, an agent may see and understand your frustration and help get this cleared up...once and for all. Good luck!!! |
Nope no local agent :( I guess I just keep fighting and fighting.... Tara, can you imagine someone calling Avery a boy to her face??? She is almost as mad as i am!!!!!! |
Oh brother! Didn't they happen to think that a doctor wouldn't prescribe birth control pills for a boy??? lol Which one of the girls in the picture is your daughter? |
In the black on the right. :D |

Ok that is BOGUS! No doctor would prescribe BCP to a boy, for any reason! And, about the name issue...there are SO many names that are unisex right now, I can't believe they would ASSUME anything about the gender of a patient by the name...Let's hope hospitals do a little more CHECKING before making that kind of assumption! :p I know girls by the name of: Dylan Tyler Payton Sidney Jordan Devon And men by the name of: Ashley Lindsey Jan Jordan Dylan Tyler Cameron |

I named my male dog Aubrey, and of coarse everyone thinks hes a girl. |
I would bee so ticked off if I was having to deal with this issue! I mean its the same insurance that covered her birth and up till now had her as a girl !!And now they are putting it that she is a boy! You got it fixed the first time they "made a mistake" but to have it happen again and AGAIN!! I have had mine put my youngest son who was born 04/26/97 as being born 04/26/77 4 different times this year and we have had the same insurance company for 5 years now! My husband and I were both born in 1972 so I wonder how they could possibly belive that we had a kid that would be that old! When I call to see why coverage is being denied the say that he is over 18! I said How is that when he was born in 1997?? The first time we thought it was kind of funny but come on 3 more times and the year is not over!! It is frustrating to have to keep calling for the same thing to get fixed! I started writing down the name of the people I talked to while fixing our problem an when I had to call for #3 and 4 to get it fixed I asked to speak to that person. She knows once I tell her who I am and that coverage is being denied for Garrett what to do to fix it . Still very frustrating that it keep happing but now it gets taken care of with out hassel as the first one! |
She looks all girl to me, very beatiful as a matter of face. I say switch pharmacies...I'd be leary of other mistakes. |
I have a g-daughter named Christian. She didn't have much hair until she was about 4 years old, so she was called a boy alot, even with pink on! |
What a bunch o' crap. I have always LOVED the name Avery for a girl. It is similar to the name my sister and I made up for her first girl: Ellery. I think names like that are so very pretty. |
