I'm not sure if the mom will be held liable or not. I know that all the reports I've read today definitely indicate the 15 year old was not at fault, she was stopped when hit from behind by a truck driver who, it now comes out, that he's had driving violations in the past. The authorities said that they had questions that needed answering but now was not the time to ask, they would wait until next week. With all the mom is going through with losing her children and then her father, my opinion is she's suffered enough (and will continue to suffer for years to come), I personally don't think she should be ticketed or anything...but what a horrible lesson to learn ![]()

| Yes, I read about the grandfather too. I suppose they could press charges but I have a feeling she was a single mother working and left her teen ager in charge and needed them to pick her up. It still was wrong but sometimes we do dumb things and then suffer so. Lets all say a special prayer for her tonight.

| This is all so sad! I will keep them in my prayers. I, in some ways can understand exactly what this mother is going through. My second husband and I were engaged and getting ready to get married when he lost his youngest son. It was a stupid accident all based on poor judgement. His ex father-in-law was with the children the day it happened. He has a large piece of heavy equipment and was manufacturing a dirt ramp for the boys to jump and ride over on their motorcycles. He had the youngest (4) sitting on the fender of the equipment and headed up the dirt hill. He fell off backwards and the grandpa backed down the hill and ran over him. All in a matter of seconds. Even though he wasn't my flesh and blood, I loved him and we were all very close. That was almost 4 years ago and we still suffer today. It is something that you will never get over, affects your life daily and no one should have to experience. So, yes I will definitely remember this family in my prayers.

| I saw this on the news too. Despite the girl only being 15 they say it wasn't her fault. I can't imagine what the parents are going through...I don't even want to TRY to imagine. They showed one of the boys who was on the bus on the news talking and crying about what happened...so sad. My prayers are with them all.

Oh, I completely agree with you. Hopefully, considering the fact that the girl wasn't at fault, nothing else will happen. I can't imagine losing so much all at once.
