| Took two trips to the doctor and bureau to get my license. The new young doctor they worked me into see as my own doctor couldn't see me until next Tuesday(he's so good he's always double-booked), who I told what I needed on the form and that were boxes on the back to be checked, still left a box unchecked on the TX DOT form and as I was almost blind after having my eyes dilated, I couldn't see the printing on the form when I was leaving but asked him if he'd checked all the applicable boxes. I think I asked him twice before I left his office - once when he first came into the room. He said yes. Got to the DL bureau and they said the doc didn't check any boxes! Furious, I called the eye docs office back and told them I was on my way to get that form corrected and I did, he did and I got back to the bureau(like 20 miles of driving back and forth) but still got restrictions on my license! Hopefully, maybe another eye surgery can help get at least one of them off but we'll see. Right now I'm just happy to finally have my license renewal, restrictions and all. Why does everything seem so hard to get done right these days? Seems like no one can actually do anything right the first time too often anymore - or is that just me still feeling grumpy over all that?
