Bugs and rat hair in spices from India and Mexico... Bug parts and rat hair found in high rates in spices, FDA says - CNN.com I checked all of my spices as soon as this aired! I threw out all of my newly purchased Indian spices. |
Correction...I threw out all of my spices that were imported from India. I didn't have any imported from Mexico. |
In all spices, the FDA has always allowed a percentage of bug parts. This goes wayyyyyyyyyy back. I can't recall the percentage allowed, but it's always there. |
