I wound up asking my son. He said "Gee mom, it's the numbers when you click on your user name." We had a good laugh over me spending 1/2 hour looking high & low all over YT. :rolleyes:

You can also see it by clicking on a users profile.

Oh Hush !! I was desperate . . . and my mind was not functioning properly.

It only took us an hour and 36 mins before one of us figured it out. Not counting Cindy because I think she has access to insider information. She got that awfully quick. :)

LOL...left, right....I have a funny story about that from when I was learning to drive the semi. I always messed them up under pressure & it really made me a mess several times when being given directions from an instructor. I'd get so frustrated!

Here's how: click on my Public Profile. The numbers at the end of the string are the U# (user number).

As long as you can get to your profile page, it is in the address bar at the top of the web browser.

There are 111,540 Members: that is a 6 digit number the ones we posted are 8 digit numbers. Ok now I am really confused. :confused:

I have searched high and low with some sort of record surrounded by my join date and can not find a one. So are those numbers right or not ? Do we still have more searching to do... ?

I've got nothing better to do. :)

The numbers are right. Apparently we've lost a LOT of users over the years, eh?
I know we also have TONS of members who've never posted even once.

That last question turned into a rabbit chase! I kept thinking it couldn't possibly be that hard because all the others were pretty easy. I just wanted to take a minute & say thanks because in all the "chasing" I learned a few things about the way YT is set up. :)

You know, I started thinking about my statement here & although I have no doubt the user numbers that we found are right, I DO doubt we've lost nearly 2 million users. Someone else may be able to tell us if there was there a gap in numbers or explain.

Sorry I was MIA. Hubby walked by and mentioned he wanted to go to the movies, so I just dropped everything to get ready. We saw the Lone Ranger and I thought it was fantastic, although a little too violent for my tastes. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Johnny Depp - I don't think there's another actor who could have pulled off the role of Tonto in this version. Depp tailored the part to fit his funky personality.

Click on your "User CP", then when there, click on "Your Profile" and in the address bar at the very top of your browser, there should be a number. I think that's how I found mine.

Mine says I'm user number 19228880. That's 19 million, 288 thousand 880.

The newest"member" is number 19261234
There's no ways yorkietalk has had 19 million users.

I just checked your number and that is what is says. Weird. I do know that when people join, they get a number like that and eventually it is switched over to a different number. We need Admin to explain this one, maybe a glitch? Anyway, you get a ticket for finding the number, even when it did not make sense. :D Sorry about that!
