I'm sure Henry is sweet as can be and will be very appreciative of your gifts. This guy's great dane - the only one I was ever around - was so sweet that I couldn't believe a dog so big could be that big of a baby and be so sweet.

I imagine it sapped your FIL's strength. Hopefully, he will regain his strength. I'm sure he does feel like crap.:(

My FIL is having his last round of tests today. He has been to all of his doctors. He did have a light stroke. Today at 3 he will begin the final tests. (not sure what they are) He still really feels bad.

Yesterday was my first day back to my clients house whose dog passed. As soon as I went into the room to let the 2 dogs out, I started crying. It was so different without Marley. He was an australian shepard and always wanted to play ball, we had so much fun. He would howl as soon as I got there, he would be so excited to see me. Needless to say it is so different now. The other 2 don't care about playing ball much. :p

After I let them out side and gave them their breakfast, I went back inside to find the nicest thank you card. Inside was 100.00 check with a note to be used for Braxton, (the Schnauzer we toook in with heartworms) in Marley's honor. By the way, Braxton starts his HW treatment today.

Also, she included a 100.00 gift certificate to a very nice restaurant near us. So excited, we celebrate our 5 year anniversary in a few weeks and plan to go to a nice dinner together. :)

I was completely overwhelmed by her kindness. I went to her house last Sunday to check on her. I took her some home made chicken and dumplings and we watched football for a few hours. She asked me how much she owed me for all the extra we did Friday night. Of course I told her no way. What we did was out of love because I would never want her to deal with that alone. (she is newly divorced) I guess she felt like she had to do something for us.....and sure made us feel great. :D

Your client sounds like a lovely lady. I'm so sorry about the loss of her Aussie. You are a great friend, and sounds like she will need you while her life is in an uproar.

I agree - your client sounds like a nice lady and I am so impressed by how much you supported her. I don't know if I could have handled things nearly as well as you did if I had been in your shoes.

Wow - what a terrible week!

I am impressed though that people have been so generous with you. You must put a lot of good vibes out into the universe. :)

I won't lie and say it was easy. But, I think I went into sleep mode and just did what I had to do. LOL Later I crashed. I cried and cried this week when I went back to her house for the first time. But, atleast I was alone and didn't let her see me that way. I was really trying to be strong for her. I tried to imagine myself in that position and I absolutely would need help.

I am so excited!! I told my friends on facebook about the Schnauzer and his medical needs. I have had 3 more people say they are sending me 100.00 each! WOW. I am just thrilled by everyones kindness. I would love to pay the vet off when we go for the next hw injection. Looking like i will with no problem! :D

I think this just proves the concept of Karma! Your kindness is being repaid threefold. Myself and the rest of us could stand to be reminded of that, lol! :p
