I've had several cleaning ladies over the years ...some independent, some with a service but none of them considered cleaning up after a dog or emptying the cat litter box part of the job description nor would I expect them too. Matter of fact the service's contract specifically stated their employees did not....it's a health issue.

I hate cleaning. I don't mind working a 60 hour week OR doing yardwork (love gardening) but I hate to spend my week-ends cleaning.

I feel like between working, chauffering my teen-ager, and taking care of a house (which involves more than once a week cleaning); I never get to have any fun times with my son OR with my two dogs.

I would rather not eat lunch out or not have new clothes . . and have someone to help me clean so I can have at least a little bit of free time with my son .

My mother taught me that. RIP Mom, you were one wise woman.

I can understand your point of view. Just don't tell my dogs that cleaning isn't fun stuff. ;);)

My doggies love watching me clean and they get involved too. They follow me like I'm doing the most fascinating things ever. Sometimes they lead the way, like to the garbage can or the closets. Of course, the boys think dusters and wash cloths are toys that I'm moving around for their amusement.

Max will perch on the couch or bed to watch me vacuum and occasionally jump down and mockingly attack the vacuum cleaner. Then he trots off like he has won a great battle.

Hey, listen atleast you have a cleaning lady. I'm the cleaning lady, the cook, the groomer, the yard lady, the pool lady and I work. :rolleyes: I think I'll haved to show this thread to my retired husband. I wonder if he does poop. LOL. :D Elaine

Uni too! She loves the vacuum and loves to take the short walk to take out the trash. :)

you guys are so funny! I too preclean before the cleaning lady comes (don't want her telling her friends that we're messy) my sons think I'm nuts lol and Kaylee screams at the vacuum when we use it, it is soooo funny...I'll have to post a video of her when I get my flip.:)

Ringo hates the vacuum! He tries to attack it; then runs and gathers up all his toys so the horrible thing doesn't suck them all up!

Well, if he's retired and you are doing all that other stuff . . then definitely he should have poop duty!:)

OMG my girls do the same thing and I actually do, like yourself have an infatuation with cleaning and I thought I rubbed off on my dogs. When my mom babysits she get's a kick out of them because they try to get involved in the action. One day I went to pick them up at her house and Lola & Lea came running down the hallway with swiffer dusters hanging from their mouths. It was priceless!!:D:D
