I was a geeky loner that skipped school a lot because it was boring... :) I don't think I'm much different now. :p |
I was girl next door/loner/too cool for school....when I actually went to school. I used to cut with MikeM. We would go to the Esprit outlet or Tower Records when they were starting to have CDs then. One time we cut school and were driving on the freeway, and I looked next to me. In the next lane was my aunt. I felt like Ferris Beuller. |
Wow...FastEddie & I sound like we had similar childhoods. |
I was "Girl Next Door" and popular but maily cause all they girls wanted to date my brother. I remeber I was know as "Edwin's Sister" :lol tears |
I was popular, very brainy straight A's all my life, I was a comedian, voted queen of my senior class. |
Well...I was a weird assortment. I was popular...I went to a small school so either you were cool or you weren't. There was no inbetween. I was not very fond of school, though I found it very easy. I also did a lot of sports, cheerleading, volleyball, and track. I was a mild Partier and I had my "Circle of Friends"....we were known as the "mean girls" but it was fun. One time my Junior year myself and three friends were taken into the Vice principals office because this girl whom I did not like told a teacher she was afraid to go to prom because she thought we were going to jump her (serisouly, like we would even notice her at OUR prom) anyways we told him that she was nuts and he told us " You girls are like a pack of wolves...even I am scared of you!" lol...that just made me laugh. |
I was voted class clown. |
oops I forgot I was also voted "Most Changed" and "Least Organized" my senior year. |
I either fall into several of those categories or mine just isnt listed yet, I cant decide. I need more choices because none of those categories speaks to me. Ohhh I know!!!! I was one of those "artsy weirdos". My senior year, 4 out of 5 of my classes were art-type classes so I pretty much wore pajamas and flip flops. It was practical for me because I was dealing with pain/plaster/metal/charcoal all day. The "popular look" at the time was the messy look. It was funny because I would spend 30 minutes fixing my hair so that it looked like "bed head". We were so weird :p I was also sorta a science nerd but I had lots of friends too so i was pretty popular. It was fun. I miss it  |
I have to admit that I thought I was to cool for school. How wrong I was lol. When I showed up in schoo,l I spent most of my time socializing. Now I am 38 and in college getting my Masters degree. Who would have ever thought. The highschool dropout. :) Jack and Mandy's Mom :aimeeyork |

These are sooo fun to read!! I can't believe how wrong I was about some of you guys. Most of us are so not who we were in high school. And you're right, Shana, how could I forget the Artsy bunch. I should also have included Drama!!! And what about student government, Chess club, Science club, etc. Shana, you wore PJ's and flip flops to school? That's awesome! I always envied those who went their own way. I was never that cool, lol!! Schatzie's mama, you are such a sweetheart! I would have never thought you had a rebellious bone in your body! OK, here's a shocker for ya! I split my time between the semi-popular bunch and the freaks in high school. Yep, partyed hard in high school and college. I had a ball, made good grades (top 10 in my class), and dated a notorious drugger! My best friend and I and our dates got kicked out of our Prom junior year for sneaking in alcohol. Thank God I never landed in any serious trouble. How bizarre is that?? I attended a big party school in college, and participated wholeheartedly. I was a sorority girl and proud of it! But at the same time was able to graduate Cum Laude with a degree in Accounting and landed a job with one of the 'Big Eight' CPA firms in the US. Juggling the two sides of me was quite an accomplishment, lol! The funny thing is, I'm really not that person anymore. A couple years after college I got married, got over myself, got saved and did a 180!! I'm not preaching, that's just the way it was for me. And I've never looked back. Yep, it was fun for a season. Always is. But I don't miss that person. I like this 'me' a whole lot better. Stay at home mom, committed Christian, YT addict! There's lots of ways to have fun!!! Thanks for sharing your stories everyone. I hope others will too. |
I was sorta a brainiac i guess. I graduated (3months ago) 4th in my class of lik 370 people. Stupid A-!!! My fiends and i didnt reallyu have a label. we were just there. We hung out and did normal stuff. My friends got a's and b's. None of us did sports, drugs, or anything. I hung out with the "brianiacs" in my classes, becasue we all took the same classes. I was also a book worm! i love my books. |
And you know what as good as i did in school i didn't get me ANYWHERE! I did't any grants, scholarships from my college, nothing. I got a local scholarship from a fundraiser, But that was luck! All that time i worked my but off and they only people that get scholarships are the athletes!!! Don't get me wrong, i don't have anything agaist them, actually i am happy for them, they work hard in practice. they desearve it. But people who work to be smart don't get crap! It is so frustrating! |
I hated highschool. It was only 2 years ago for me but it was definetly not my thing! People were just way to petty and concerned with stupid things lol. My best friend was one of the "popular" girls, but I just did the 'few close friends' thing. I couldn't be bothered with the people that thought they were God lol. I like University so much better. For the most part, the people are nice and there isnt the little "groups" or "cliques" like there was in highscool. Im definetly glad I'm outta there lol, and I can't wait to see what everyone from h.s. turns out to be like in 20 years! |
