Isn't the registration fee non-refundable? I mean, Lisa isn't going to have to incur more costs when people drop, is she? |
I'm not sure. I know several people have asked for their money back. She would like to give it back because she is so sweet but right now doesn't have it. I know she doesn't have enough people registered to cover the cost of the food that she has to commit to. |

Ya'll have loads of fun.... I cant wait to see everyones pics to see what I missed!!!! |
OK - First of all - I will post an update on the current registration list soon. I haven't been on the computer much recently, and I need to get caught up on e-mails to see if we have any new registrations. Secondly, we have had a few cancellations now, but I have told the members that the registration fee is non-refundable (as stated in the original thread), unless we have an overwhelming number of registrations that flood in here at the end, and we have enough leftover to be able to give them a refund after all. Of course, that's what I'd like to do (I don't want people to just be out the money), but I can't say yet if that will be possible (it's not looking good). As an alternative, I've given members having to cancel an option of selling or donating their registration to someone else. That way, I don't have to worry about having enough left at the end to process refunds, but hopefully no one will be out any money either if they can't come to the meet-up. Admin/YT has no financial responsibility for the meet-up. Thirdly, we do have a minimum food and beverage fee we owe the hotel for the meet-up. At this point, we almost have this fee covered, so I'm not too worried about it at this point. Registration and vendor sign-ups have both been lower than anticipated, but I think we'll be ok financially, so thank you very much for your concern (I love you all), but I think we'll be ok. Everyone has been so generous with donations for the raffle and goodie bags, and I so appreciate that! Otherwise, I was going to have to figure out how to buy things for the raffle and bags, so it's a relief I don't have to cover that cost. |
The registration price will be going UP again beginning May 16th, so everyone who is planning on attending but hasn't paid their registration fee yet may want to consider paying it by midnight PST on May 15th!!! The fee with dinner will be going from $90 to $100 per person. The fee withOUT dinner will be staying at $50 per person. If you want to register via PayPal, send your payment through PayPal to yorkietalkmeetup@yahoo.com. Be sure to include your YT user ID and e-mail address I can contact you at (if different than your PayPal address), and I will reply with additional questions I need answered for the registration spreadsheet. If you want to register via check or money order, send an e-mail to yorkietalkmeetup@yahoo.com, and state that you wish to register via check or money order. I will reply to your e-mail with the address to mail your payment to, and I will consider you registered as of the date I receive your e-mail, pending that I receive your payment within a week or so afterwards. As a special incentive for YT members who joined January 2008 or after... Since you never had the opportunity to register at the lowest rate, if you register by midnight PST on May 15th, your registration fee will be $70 with dinner or $30 without dinner. That is the lowest registration price we could ever offer our members, so this is a GREAT deal for our newbies! We'd love to see you and your babies in KC in June! |

Thanks for all the updates, everyone. Angi, I'm really sorry you can't make it-I was really looking forward to meeting you and your furbabies, but I completely understand. Hugs to you! Lisa, is there anything that you NEED right now-more donations for goodie bags, $ donations to make it possible, speakers, etc? Let me know what I can do to help! |

I believe we're good so far !!! Everyone's really come together for the goodie bags and raffle prizes (thanks to Michele for organizing that), Jodie got great speakers lined up for us, I already have the raffle tickets and name tags (just need to print off the name tags when we have all the final registrations done), one member (Ronda - RONLYNN) who works for Sketchers was able to get us the bags themselves to use for the goodie bags, as well as lanyards for the name tags, I think we'll be ok with $ to pay for the food and meeting room, and I can't think of anything else we'll need right now, so thank you for the offer, but I think we're going to be able to pull this meet-up off and have a great time!!! The only thing we could probably use at this point is more vendors to be able to shop with!!! I can hardly wait! |

Also-nametags-I was planning to bring Emma, but I might be bringing Milli now instead. Is that going to be a problem? When do I need to let you know by? Or, are the nametags just for people ;)? |

Thank you! I will PM you the mailing address. FYI - For those of you who are donating items for the goodie bags - if there is any way possible, we would appreciate you shipping all goodie bag items prior to the meet-up, so that we can get the bags stuffed and ready to go for you guys before your arrival. We're going to have everything shipped to my mom so that it will be there when we get into town to put the bags together. Michele, Jodie, and I all 3 have the mailing address, so you can PM any of us for the info. Of course, my mom (Sukoshis Gma) has the info as well. If you have something that will be too large, bulky, or heavy to ship, and you'd rather bring it with you, please PM Michele or myself, and we'll see if we can work out an alternative. At this point I'm planning on us stuffing the goodie bags on Thursday night so that they're ready to hand out to everyone at the meet-up on Friday. If we have a lot of people who can't mail their items, we may end up altering that plan, but I just figured it would be nice for you to have the bags at the start of the meet-up, as it would be a nice little bag for you to carry around the Plaza too to drop some small purchases down in. For those of you with raffle items, there is no reason we'll need those ahead of time, so you can feel free to bring those items with you. If you would prefer to mail something ahead of time though, please PM Michele, Jodie, or myself for the address. THANKS! |

I managed to get the room reservation straightened out. If anyone else hasn't gotten a room yet, we have room for two more if we split it 4 ways. Total for 1/4 of the room will be about $118 for Fri and Sat nights (this is with another dog deposit). PM me if anyone still needs a room! :) |

Thanks in advance! |
I'm giving mine to her this weekend. |
Just wanted to let everyone know that we cannot wait for the meet-up and thank the organizers/planners/coordinators/donators/vendors/everyone!!! We cannot wait :D Just to let y'all know, my bf and I are staying in a room just by ourselves, and I'm only bringing Kobi. (Was originally planning to bring Kiwi too, but I know she won't travel well.) Anyway, so if one of you wanted to "say" your dog was staying in my room, since I'm already paying the $50 fee per night "UP TO TWO DOGS" then, someone can save $100 or $150 for the weekend (depending how many nights you're staying), if you're interested... I already told the hotel I'll have two dogs (since I planned on taking Kiwi when I made the reservation.) So if someone wants to do this, let me know, and I'd be happy to dogsit for the weekend :p...only kidding...but they could be our "guest" as far as reservations go. I hope that made sense. If it didn't or if you're interested, PM me :) |
Somebody has taken the "free doggie in the room" offer. Sorry, folks, no more room in this inn...lol. |

I can go into Valley Vet and see if they will donate anything. About how many items should I get if they will donate something for the goodie bags? |
Lisa, can't remember if I already let you know, but I will be bringing an ex pen too |
