Is YT Ruining Your Life?
 
Hello, my name is Kristy and I am nearly fired from my job on a daily basis. I come home and check posts. I don't do anything but sit on my lap top. My house is a complete mess. a WRECK. I don't go out. I don't play with Stewie as much as I should. I don't do homework. I don't exercise. I don't sleep. I eat while I'm typing on here. No one wants to talk to me on the phone because I don't pay attention since I am reading or posting on YorkieTalk. This is bad. I might need to take a break just to regain my sense of the outside world.

Dear Kristy!

Well, today is the changing day! Because from this moment on, as you read this post, you are only allowed to read YT when every other chore is done.
This is not up for discussion, it is a rule and you have to abide by it.

If you don't you will end up on wellfare and not being able to afford being neat stuff for your dogs. Your friends will take off since they think you are a slob who lives in a pigsti and people will point at you in the streets and yank their kids aways from you because of the sanitary danger.

There you have it - now go clean - we look forward to having you back - when your chores are done!!!!

Awww Kristy - the only thing of real importance here is that you don't play with Stewie as much, LOL! The other is just too over rated. :rolleyes:

I do think there is a limit. I am not online much because I do realize when i do get online I really dont get anything done. You just have to put things in perspective and realize what's most important. Good luck :p

lol..sorry but this is really funny. that sounds like my life. my friend called and asked if i watned to go for a walk and i said no i'm tired but the truth is no i'm on YT.

When my boyfriend is talking to me.. I continuously nod my head like I'm listening with a couple "uh huh"s here and there. And then, when he asks "Don't you think?".. I'm like "Can you please repeat what you said? I was reading a post"

My mother (she died 5 years ago) told me to remember that your children would not remember if the beds were always made, nor the dishes done, but that they would remember if you were "too busy" to spend time with them. Well Benni and Garett are now my two children/babies, and I want them to remember that I always had time to play. LOL

I wouldn't actually say it's 'ruining' it but it's wreaking havoc that's for sure! I only joined a couple months ago and I love this site! However, my husband thinks I spend my time on here searching for our new house so when I hear him coming through the kitchen I have to switch to a real estate site...he can't seem to understand why I haven't found one yet!

That's funny, :D well just always have the browser with the real estate open so you can just click on it when he comes.

Hey I'm right there with you guys!! I told myself Thursday (as I was expecting out of town company for the entire weekend on Friday night) that I must mop my floors before I got on YT. OK, so here's the kicker...I caught myself before I actually sat down and posted a new thread "I'm gonna mop my floors now aren't you proud of me??". How sick is that?? Don't know what it is about this place...but IIIIII LIKE IT!! (And yes, my July 4th resolution-just invented that-is to do one chore before I get online...PERIOD!!!).

And the extra bonus: 2 lovely yorkies in the neighbourhood to play with for your dogs and a lifetime of free dogsitting :)

It was definetly getting in the way of my buisness and personal time with my husband for awhile there. My husband said he was going to have to block YT from my computer. Can you even do that? Well I am trying to not be on it so much so I can be super productive. But its so hard. I feel like I am goign to miss something. I relate better to people on this forum than the weirdos in my life :p

Thanks kewtee...it's tempting but I think he's expecting me to find one in Florida since that's where the moving company is taking our stuff! Geez...I'll be without my computer and YT for a month or so...I hope I make it!

Im also addicted to YT. :rolleyes: My husband tells me everynite and I quote " I hope you dont think you are going to be on YT all nite, i will disconnect the pc." I know im addicted, cometimes my house is wreck. I did some cleaning a bit today before log in to YT. :)

I got told off becuse I was on Yorkietalk during a school computing lesson... we were supposed to be researching global issue's, and I tried to tell the teacher that I thought Yorkie's were very important, and the latest Yorkie gossip should - most cerainly, without a doubt - be classified as a global issue. She didn't listen though... lol
