Great thread!! I have to say I totally agree. I have been here for over a year now and at times I still fill like I am ignored or overlooked. But that isn't it at all, atleast I hope,lol. It is just that there are so many members here and so many threads that some of them get overlooked. I try to post as much as I can especially if I see a thread where there are few replies. But being a new member they don't know this and I can see why it would be easy to think they are being ignored. |

Since we're on the subject of what bugs us, you know what bugs me? I go through general discussion all the time bumping threads. I bumped a thread with no responses yesterday and there are still no replies. I think it would be funny if I keep bumping it up, so I left it today. |
I honestly try to respond to everyone's threads so if I missed one of your I'm sorry and it wasn't done purposely. |

If I reply to everything, I wake up the next morning with 50 e-mail notifications. Then the next day it's 100, then 200, etc... There aren't enough hours in the day. I suppose I could check "No e-mail notification" on a particular thread, then I risk not knowing if someone replied specifically to me. |

Just kiddin' I know its hard to respond to all the threads to even to see them. Sometimes I will come across a major post that is like 10 pages long and think..how the heck did I miss this one??? Ok, I'm still new here so I'll be the thread killer this time. I have been "lurking" since July and actually only joined once I was locked out for too many views without being a member. I have never started a thread (just don't feel comfortable enough to do so) so sometimes I just send the person a PM. I want to ditto much of what has been said in thread. I think it is a great post, and enlightening for newbies to see that long term members sometimes feel 'neglected' (if that's even the appropriate word). I have no qualms about not posting on many threads I read, but now maybe I will change my thought process on that. At the same time, I also know that it takes time to get to know people and how can you do that if you don't post? Guess that's my personal dilema. Also, being new I still don't always know what all initials stand for or even all the features of this forum. So I'll continue to read and post every so often. Thanks to all of you for being so great. PS- I am a member of the crazy club, too just didn't post it in that thread. |
