| Avenues for finding Yorkies... Hey, folks, as I mentioned in my "I'm new here" post, I'm looking for another Yorkie. In my case, age & sex don't matter (in fact, I'd almost rather adopt a dog I know needs a home than pick up a gorgeous pup who will have no trouble finding one). The dog doesn't need to be registered, doesn't even need to be a pure-bred - it just needs to be small enough that it won't overpower my current Yorkie, an 8 year old, barely 5 pound little lady, as I just don't think that would be fair to her. That said, I've been checking both the 'for sale' and 'adoption' forums here on YT as well as United Yorkie Rescue, Petfinder.com, Noah's Ark Project, and Save a Yorkie.com, not to mention the local newspapers. Can anyone give me any further avenues that I may take for finding another dog here in the Northeast? Any folks I can call, or websites I can check? Thanks so much! |

| Shecass, Marie - thank you for the kind thoughts and well-wishes. Whispersmom2, MO is about 6 or 7 hours away and I could drive that, especially if you could meet me part way. Can you send me some info on the yorkie? If you are trying to get a dog you will re-home right away, I would assume he's not in a good home now? How old is he? Is he fixed? How much does the little guy weigh? If you pm me with your phone number, I'll be happy to call you so we can talk. Thanks! Tracy |
