You can have the bird. She's loud, ornery and expensive. Plus she's going to outlive me, and I think she knows it. She gives me that I'm-better-than-you look all the time.

I'm impressed. Eddie was so focused on you even with Jack helping you out! I'm also noticing your in short sleeves living in Alaska while I'm still in winter clothes freezing here in "sunny" CA. !!!
So how long did it take to get Eddie so well trained? I love how you can do the come, then before he reaches you, you can get him to stop and sit till you say come again. Now you should enroll in the dancing lessons. :D

Ha ha. If you'd ever seen me dance :eek:, you'd drop that last sentence.

Our snow melted fast. We had a foot to a foot and a half fall on April 25th, and it was gone a week later. Now it's downright pleasant, although I don't think we've hit 60 yet.

Eddie is 4. He took his first obedience class at 11 months, and he's taken a total of about 76 weeks of various classes, from attention to agility. For that much training, he's no superstar but he has his moments. We learned that emergency sit command in our most recent class, which was called Proofing. It's my new favorite command. If I can get him to do it all the time, it could save his life.

Apparently Jack...distraction #1...was the only one to have a speaking part. :D

The family that spins together...stays together.

PS I was distracted by the parrot...and that kid on the bike. :rolleyes:

YEAH Eddie thats how ya do it !!! Cooper is on his fourth lesson in obedience training. Hes doing OK but I will have to make him watch this video maybe he will learn something from it .

I loved it. I'm starting Kalina in obedience class as soon as I get back from the UK. I can't start before then because the class would overlap with my trip, so it'll have to wait. She already knows sit, shake, down, and crawl - but she is HORRIBLE when it comes to stay and come. I must say, I'm inspired! :)

Wow Mike, they really have you well trained! I learned the secret to the puppy cut is to ask for a Westie face. She got it right on the first try!

Loved the video. Sure glad I don't have to be seen with that silly-tailed Rusty! Geez, did you ever see anything grow as slowly as that tail??????

Poor Eddie, other dogs get birthday cake he has to WORK on his birthday.

I'll have to try the Westie cut. Then again, this woman will probably dye him white.

I think Rusty secretly likes his tail that way and is chewing it every night just so he looks cool.

And, birthday or not, Eddie's on a diet. All that easy livin' in the wintertime.

That comment melted my heart. I so love how Eddie stays so concentrated on your every move. That is awesome. And then when Jack showed up with his vocals and that cute little body of his. Very cute and adorable. Thanks for sharing them. Love the video.:)
