| After grooming! Rebel went to the groomer for the first time today. I've fussed about the way he mats so badly and talked to the groomer about it. I told her about having to cut some out even though I condition every time I bathe and brush daily. He ended up with a schnauzer cut and I just love it! Lucy went too and I have a pic of "big sis" too. I couldn't get Rebel to sit still!

| We keep our girls short too, it's just easier on them and on me We have the Schnauzer cut too, but our groomer buzzes thier backs really short and leaves a "skirt" of fringe along the sides/belly. Looking good!

| Our groomer told me to make sure and brush/comb Luna every single day. That is the best way to prevent mats, to not let them get out of hand It's working great so far, even when we skip a night or two

| They need to be brushed and then combed every day. If by chance a matt still occurs, then take the pin brush to get them out. It's not easy keeping them in a show coat. It takes a lot to work. I finally broke down and cut my girls back short on the body, leaving the legs and check long, but just a trim around the face, and leaving two or three inches on the tail. |

Thanks, I've been brushing them daily, but not combing. I bought a pin brush (a CC brush) but I'm afraid I'll hurt the babies when I try to use it. If I spray with Ice on Ice first, then brush, comb, and check for mats - do you start close to the skin with the pin brush?
