| New Yorkie Mum needs your Expertice Hello to all of you, Rosie and I have become Mama & baby for almost 1 week and are loving one and another. My wee girlie seems to be some what on the picky eater side. Our breeder sent us home with a puppy pack of organic Royal Canin mini puppy food but "THE ROSE" is not very interested in it and I am worried that she might not be getting enough to eat. I have supplamented her with rice and chicken breast which she really liked from our other dogs ( LIL Bulldog ...haha & 2 Bassets - our boy Basset - RumpFord thinks Rosie is just great, they are already fast buddies) My question to you is there any harm in feeding her the other food and any suggestions as to how to get her to eat better? Thankyou so much for any advise. Rosie's Mum

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Ruby's breeder sent us home with Royal Canin too, which she refused to eat. This started our quest for the best food out there that she would eat. I too cooked chicken breast, venison, rice, vegetables and purchased 8 different dry foods over the first few months. She would eat the cooked foods okay, but not the kibbles. A good friend suggested Wysong foods, and I did get samples. Ruby loves the Nurture w/pheasant and will eat the maintenance diet they offer too. It will not hurt your Rose to feed her some other foods, although her primary diet should be a good quality dry food.

| I would get samples of different kibble brands and see what she likes. I feed Life's Abundance and my dog(s)/cat love it.

| Thankyou both for your help. I will definately be on the search for the "elusive" dry kibble for "The Rose".I understand that the Yorkie is prown to tartar build up on their teeth and that they really need a good hard food to help keep strong teeth and gums. I will let you know how things go as we trial new things Suellen AKA Rosie's Mum
