Our two brand new Boys! 1 Attachment(s) Meet our two 9 week old boys brothers Benny & Diesel on their 6th daily walk already. First time owning a dog less then 80lbs for this semi retired mom & dad. Hoping to get some good knowledge from the group here. |
So cute! I think you will enjoy having little dogs. So easy to take with you. Do your two little boys fight at all? I kept two boys from the same litter and they are fighting a little. It starts out as rough play and then someone gets mad. Not a problem right now but just worried about the future. Wondering if I am making a mistake and it will continue and get worse. I do plan on neutering both as soon as possible, but they are just 12 weeks now and tiny. |
I think I'm in love! What cute boys! Our little 4.5 llb yorkie is perfect for semi-retirement - where we are now. She's a take along. Car, RV, air travel are all doable. She's also easy on the [titanium] joints and various and sundry arthritic parts. She's also sooooo loyal. Yorkies are wonderful. Congratulations and enjoy! :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |

Thanks for the welcome and yes very cautious when walking them about not letting any other animals near them or off the pathway. Many dogs in my history and usually in pairs like my last two boxers and Shiba's who all lived past 12 years, Shiba's made it to 16 & 17 actually. The little one seems to rule the situation when needed and yes home all day so do listen and watch them closely, very entertaining to say the least! |

They are so adorable! I miss those days. Having brother littermates can be very overwhelming at times but just try and be patient. Give them individual attention and try to separate them sometimes. Separate crates made a big difference and helps with individuality. My 2 are pretty dependent on one another and always need to know what the other one is doing. Training can be hard but make sure you devote time to this and do it individually (or make one stay and just watch when teaching the other) or they can just copy each other . Fighting/playing is an ongoing issue in my house, constantly having to reprimand them because we do not want them to think it is ok and hurt the other one. They don't really hurt each other mostly just roughhousing but every once in a while one can be a little too rough but stops as soon as the other yelps. With that said they are best friends and always want to be with each other. Both neutered at 6 months and honestly they are the same as they were prior to neutering. They are almost 1.5 years old now and so much better than they were when we got them. It was a learning experience for us as well as them. Be patient and just enjoy your babies :) |
Hello and welcome to YT :) Good looking lil boys |

She'll bite Husband, AND my daughter for touching me, hugging me, or going to take the chew if I have to get up. Those are just a few things of what is going on. She tried biting me once. That was it. I was quick to do what her trainer told me, and she hasn't tried since. If you don't show tough love, you'll have to deal with in home training sessions and some behavioral modification in earnest. |
