| Our new family memebers I have never considered myself a small dog person, but after seeing Jack at the Pet Adoption Center for our local shelter, I could not resist... We rescued Jack in February and have enjoyed making him a part of our family. Recently my wife and I discussed adding to the family again to give Jack a playmate. Enter Sassy... We received a ping from another local shelter asking if we would be interested in another rescue. They had a female approx. 3 years old that was full of energy and needed a playmate. We packed our Jack into the car and drove 1.5 hours south to visit with Sassy and her Foster Parents. After 4 hrs or so of Jack and Sassy hitting it off we were asked if we would like to take Sassy home and see how she would work out for a 2 week trial. We took her home immediately and she and Jack have been inseparable since. They play incessantly and love to go for long walks and to the new Dog Park in our town. We have been truly lucky to find not 1 but 2 of these wonderful animals to round out our family... |
