| My new yorkie. is he full blooded?? Hi, I am a new owner and I want to know if my puppy is full blooded or not? He is 8 weeks old. But he does not have any silver hair. And he is very small. She said he is a seven pounder. Also his ears are flat? How are some ways to tell if he is a mutt? How do you post a picture from phone? |

| Where did you get your dog? They should know his pedigree. If they don't, chances are he is a mutt. But so what? I have a full bred Yorkie/Poodle (yorkiepoo) and Dog Experts classify her as a mutt because of cross breeding, even if it is deliberate! Go figure... Just adore your precious mutt and he will think he is a yorkie! |

| You will have to post a photo but from my understanding most Yorkies start out mostly black with tan and change color with age and ears still have time to stand as All do not sand that early. I am not sure if you are saying he is 7 lbs now at 8 weeks or if that is his predicted adult weight? |

| Welcome to YT. yoshismom1969 is correct on puppy color, silver will grow in as puppy matures. As far as floppy ears, not all yorkies have stand up ears. My past pups, 2 had floppy ears, 2 had stand up ears. Other can advise what to try to get your pup's ears to stand up, keeping hair on ears short will help. Just because your puppy's ears are floppy and his silver hair has not yet started to grow in does not mean he is not a full breed yorkie. Sorry I cannot help with posting pictures from your phone.
