Gunner and his new friend... 1 Attachment(s) We may call him Gizmo, not sure yet. I take them outside and Gizmo runs right back to the door, guess he doesn't want to go out in the snow. Here is a phone shot of the size difference between the two. Gunner is 4.5lbs of perfection and Gizmo is 2lbs at 5 1/2 months. Wow, he is smaller than I thought! |
Aw! Cuties! Brrr Let us in!!! |
I have the same problem with my Stitch whose 5 months and we live in So. Cal with no snow! |
What cuties! There definitely is a size difference! |
And it is very cold here. Almost the end of March and 10 degrees tonight with snow. Gosh, we are so sick of winter. |
hehe and he has blue ears. lol they are so cute..wez freezing please let us in. |
Gunner looks so much bigger, but I know the hair adds 6 pounds haha. |
Love the name Gizmo. Such a cute pup. How is he coming around now, being in a loving household finally? |

Have you been successful getting Gizmo to sleep in a crate on any of the nights? Cookie cried like hell the first night, but I just ignored her because it's a safe place for her to sleep and there was no way I was going to cave. It's really hard not to just go hug your baby when he's making such a sad lonely cry in the crate, but I think you have to hold your ground for a couple of nights until you can get him to realize it's not so bad a place. But I imagine it could be harder for you than it was for me since little Gizmo sounds like he didn't come from too great a home before you got him. |
Do you have his crate near you when you sleep? That could really help Gizmo. |
I had his crate in the kitchen with Gunner. The first night I let them sleep in the pen together until I heard them fighting. The second night he screamed till I couldn't stand it anymore. My husband has to be up at 4:30 in the morning so I couldn't let him carry on. He has been sleeping in bed with me since then. And Gunner won't come into the livingroom right now, he is avoiding me so much. I don't know what to do. I go to him, pick him up and love on him, then he runs out of the room I am in. I will keep trying. I'm sure if it doesn't work out I can rehome this great boy with another friend that doesn't have a dog and fell in love with him. I am going to give it my best try. I love my Gunner so much though and if he doesn't come around it isn't fair to him to keep Gizmo here. |
I know exactly what you mean. Coco, who would Velcro herself to me in bed at night, was so angry when we brought Rico home, that she wanted no part of me. For at least two weeks she'd lay on the far side of my husband instead of the middle so that I couldn't reach her. Eventually she forgave me and went back to being my bedtime Velcro baby. Give Gunner time. He'll be back. |

Max didn't keep his distance from me, but we had a little jealousy to overcome. Congratulations on your new baby! Gizmo and Gunner make an adorable pair. |
