trying to post pics I want to share a photo of my yorkie gang and Im still figuring out how to do that. Ive uploaded the pic at Members Galleries but Im not sure how its going to show up here. Keeping my fingers crossed. :D |
good luck if there is a direct link you can just copy and paste right into the body of the thread. |
I am new too and had the same problem this morning. I think it's cause I'm new and inexperienced. I had to open another window, right click on the picture in my photo album (in your profile page), copy the hyperlink then go back to paste it to the message. Haven't figured out the thumbnail part but I was able to get the link in. |
I have so much trouble all the time. I found a new way by putting the pictures on facebook firsts. I posted a thread about it a few days ago. Try it if you want. I just posted a picture of Mrs. Beasley. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...-pictures.html |

Success!!!! :D:D Here's what I did... :) I downloaded Irfanview from the link provided on "how to post pics" and installed it. I clicked on Irfanview icon on desktop Went to File, clicked Open to open the file in computer The picture came up. I then went to Image and clicked Resize/Resample Under "Set New Size" I wrote 800 x 600 pixels and clicked Ok Then I went to File again, clicked Save As and gave the resized pic a name. I then clicked button for "Thread" to open this box. On this box, I clicked the paperclip icon. (upper part, next to smiley icon) A Manage Attachment box opens. Clicked on Browse to go to the picture I resized. Click Upload and when its uploaded, click "Close this window" Go back to this window. Picture name shld be seen on box "Manage Attachment" Then Submit Reply I hope this helps :D:D:D:D:D |

Thank you cherie6446. :D Big file sized pics is the consequence of the new digital cameras that are 5 megapixels and up. Don't get me wrong.. I love them bec. I get very sharp and detailed photos but it becomes a hassle when I want to upload the pics. Maybe you guys can try posting pictures again and do the steps I wrote down. Resize your picture to either 800 x 600 pixels or 640 x 480 pixels. That's the size that forum will accept. :D Goodluck :D |
