Congrats on your sweet new baby Brady! Really it's making me wish I had a baby too. (Kaji's 2 yrs old already) He's just too cute. I think I have puppy envy!

If you're open to suggestions, have you considered a break away collar for his ID tags? That's what I use with my little stinker. It holds on pretty well, but when he gets into mischief and gets his collar stuck on something, it just falls off and he's safe.

Awwwww..... Congrats!! and welcome to YT!! I got my Riley on July 23rd. Seems like just Yesterday! He has brought me sooo much JOY in such a short time.

Wow thanks for the suggestion. I had never heard of that but I will definitely look into it. So it works well for you? And doesn't come off when you don't want it to? I never realized collars were such a big issue, but glad I found out sooner rather than later...

Just wish there was more variety and options w/ the break aways. The only brand I found so far is KeepSafe...is that the one you have?

The one I have was a gift from a friend. It's cotton, which makes it completely washable, but technically it's a kitty collar. Kaji doesn't know the difference!

My friend got them off Ebay. And yes, it doesn't come off for no reason. He can have it on for weeks at a time with no incident. But, when he gets mischievous, and get's into something where he would be in danger with a normal collar, it just simply falls off. I really like this collar.

Obviously, you won't be able to walk him with that collar, but we shouldn't be walking them on collars anyway. A good step in harness makes it easy to have both.

Welcome to YT! You'll find it's a wonderful place! You new little one is so cute! I love the name Brady too! Being from MA Brady is a well loved name around here...with Tom Brady and the Partiots, but just noticed your from Baltlimore and might not like Tom Brady much tonight! The Patriots beat Baltimore today 23-20. But we also love Baltimore for Ray Rice/Rutgers alum!
Our first furbaby is actually named after Rutgers....RU is his name.

Re: Collars....be really careful with them. We just got our second little yorkie in May, Bonnie, First of all she chewed her first collar, I didnt want to make it too tight but didnt think it was to loose, then she would get her collar stuck in her mouth, it was awful but we were there to take it off her right away, not learning again, I bought her another collar and came home after going out for dinner to find her collar stuck in her mouth again, soaked from drooling and bleeding! I was horrified, thank God she was ok, but NO more collar for her! I have the same fear if she gets out with out her tags, but I'm going to have her microchipped and she uses a harness to walk, like all yorkies should do anyways! I looked up past threads on collars and there was some pretty disturbing things on them!

Good luck with everything! Be careful because one you have one.....you'll likely want many more!

Awww!

I remember how excited I was when I first brought home Holly. She had so many things, she's been spoiled from the get-go, haha. I can't believe it's been over a year since I brought her home.. My boyfriend and I are adding a new fur baby this Christmas. Yayy! The excitement, LOL.

Enjoy your baby & be sure to post pics of him in his new home!

hehe yea some of my friends weren't fond of the name brady but i'm not really into sports so it wasn't too important for me =P
