First day of rain & burning firplace pictures!

Oct. 3rd 08 was our first rain to bring in fall. Since we had the firplace converted from log to gas I turned it on for the girls. They never saw a burning firplace because we never burned wood in the old one.
Razael was sitting pretty till I turned it on and she started feeling the heat. She turned around, took one quick look and off the went. It took a bunch of training to get her to accept it long enough to get a few pictures, but she still kept slinking off poor baby. The ol fire eating monster was after her I think.

I bet as the cooler weather comes in and the longer its on. They will begin to have alot of fun and enjoy the heat alot.

I tried so hard to get Razael to sit back but she wouldn't have any part of the fire monster being so close to her bum hehe! I'm going to put some Christmas bows on them and see if I can get some good ones. Maybe if I work with her a few days before hand, I may have better luck. I want to get a good one so Villette can make my Christmas cards. She's "THE" best!!
I also have a new Avatar thanks to PANAMA69......Greta and her hubby. She thought I needed to update because she said Razael needs to be in there :p She's the most caring person I've ever met. What a terrific friend I have!!!

Your home looks beautiful even though I can only see a tiny bit...I bet it was heaven in there with the fire going...and here I sit in 90 degree weather :D

Those are beautiful pictures, I love the first one!
That's so funny how she reacted to the fireplace! We were just talking about how Camden is going to react, she's never seen a fireplace either!
Wrigley & Crosley love it!! They lay so close, I'm afraid they are going to get burned!

What great pics! Donna - the girls are beautiful - I wish I could come and lay beside the fireplace - how much better does it get on a cool rainy fall day - 3 beautiful furkids, a fire in the fireplace and perhaps a bowl of homemade vegetable soup -- lol dinner for EVERYONE- fur and skin alike!
