My husband has always been a large dog fan, so when I told him I was getting Gwen he wasn't happy. Now you can't get her away from him. He calls her his little peanut girl, and yells at the big dogs if they get to close to her. He is totally in love with her.

That is sooooo cute !!! When I announced I was getting a little Yorkie, my husband felt it was his ultimate duty to make it abundantly clear to me that this was going to be MY dog and MINE alone. I was going to be totally responsible for it and because he absolutely knew that it as going to be a little "yappy" dog, I had to train it to be quiet. Since we already had 2 Chihuahuas, I just agreed to anything he said..yea, yea, yea..right, right, right. WELL.... fast forward....now, it seems I have lost my little Desi.. All of a sudden, I am not feeding her correctly, so he has taken to feeding her (by hand, I might add) . I am stressing her out by insisting she sleep in her own bed (she sleeps on our bed next to him), when she pees on my rug and I give her time out in her pen, I am being extremely too harsh with her. If I'm watching TV and she is quietly sitting on my lap, he will take her off and put her in his lap because "she looked uncomfortable on my lap", .. I just laugh.. But, I think soon it will be the right time to announce that I would another Yorkie.. Hmmmm, wonder how he will react this time ..

Jen- That is too funny! I hope Katie isn't too scared of your husband after that harsh punishment!! LOL! These guys put up such a facade of toughness, but it's all for show! I love it- "pow pow your little butt butt!" What a great story!

The funny thing is now he doesn't want me to discipline Katie AT ALL. He said she's too fragile and little to be yelled at. I have NEVER hit my dogs and I never will. But I do believe in time outs when they're bad. But no more! Jim said she's too little to get a time out. He's so whipped! And when it comes to Codie, he's worse! Codie is his "little man" and in Jim's eyes Codie does no wrong.

But I'm happy Jim is this way because I could not be with someone who does not love animals - especially dogs. It would just totally go against my personality and views.

I know EXACTLY that baby vioce he used - Men are so wishy washy sometimes - When its US...it's one thing - but when it's them...it's a whole new ballgame ...lol CUTE STORY ! I bet she was shaking in her little paws after THAT !
