I remember the day that they came down. After several phone conversations that we had they said that they wanted her. I came down $50 off of the price. That was a crazy weekend. Daughter wasn't coming home till 6:00 pm from San Antonio field trip, family coming in from out of town, daughter's birthday party, dance recitals...I came down the $50 if they would come Friday night. Then he calls me back and asks if I would come down more. I told him no. I had paid $700 for her PLUS $90 to advertise in 3 different newspapers. Then, he wants me to meet him half way. I had told him no. I had already came down on the price and explained all that I had going on. I mean, and not to discredit any of the Houston breeders, but I've heard that it is very hard to get a good pet quality yorkie in Houston. Not that Gia was perfect, she did have her faults, but the price for her was excellent. |
:( I am so sorry to hear about Gia Lots of Love Fran and Sammi |
Check this out!!! Sorry to hear about little Gia. You have had a lot of trouble w/this little one. Hopefully you'll get some answers as to what is going on. If you disclosed to this man that Gia was not even from one of your litters and hve him time to have her vet checked, and she came back w/ a clean bill of health- it does not seem to me that you owe him anything especially if he is acting so shady about the facts concerning her "death". |
Hi Beth! Nope, he still hasn't answered my last e-mail. Since I wanted to speak to the vet, he probably won't even send the rest of the money which really sucks, but live and let learn! Never take a partial payment and let the leave with the pup. |
I just read this story and I am so sorry for you... but I agree that I just have a gut feeling that something is not right here. My advice for the future would be to get a vet reference from the person buying from you and give call to their vet before they take the puppy home so that you can make sure that its really their vet. This way you will have access to getting the truth and you would at least know if Gia is alive and he is lying to you! I can't believe he wanted you to meet him and not see the conditions that Gia was coming from! Again, I am sorry you have to go through this and hopefully you will find out the truth! |
((((Tapping fingers on desk)))) Txshopper Have you heard anything yet??? I was trying to locate someone in the Bay City area for you. I believe I found 1 but, because of the holiday...I am still waiting a reply. Gizmo's mom |

Nope, no reply from them. I figured with the holidays and all they weren't in town. I'm going to send them another e-mail just to "touch base". |
scary reading posts like these really scares me what if something like that happens to mickey :( |
I guess that he just doesn't want to share any information with me. He did however send the remainder of the money yesterday...personal check which I'm not happy about, but I went ahead and deposited it. I'll wait till it clears to send him the AKC papers. He even stopped inquiring about my other pups after that. I guess I'll never learn the truth. |
Tex You know I was really upset about that whole situation  Atleast he was considerate enough to give you the rest of the money due to you BUT he still has left you empty with sooooo many unanswered questions. Settle your concious and continue to get your answers. My guess is...the pup is still alive and well. AND they are probably members on this board and saw the posts pertaining to this whole situation and had a change of heart. It would be nice. Gizmo05's mom |
If the dog is deceased, as he claims, what use would he have for the AKC papers? I don't think I'd send him the paper voluntarily. Let him ask for them if he wants them then perhaps you can open up discussions with him again. Or maybe tell him you will make sure to let the AKC know that she is deceased. If he still has the pup it will get his attention, if he doesn't, why would he care? Julie |
If you read the rrest of the posts he's not for certain the pup is dead. It seems like if she were dead he would not have paid the rest of the money or still wanted another pup. |
dont let him off that lightly Quote:

That is so sad. What is a roached back? I'm sorry their putting you through all this, and I'm sorry but I'd get tough and say without proof of death I have no idea what to believe. If you don't give me the rest of the money I'll see you in court. |
I read this story from the beginning and it is a little suspect . Last year , a client of mine tried to pull one like this on me . A Saturday morning , I received a phone call from a new owner and he told me that Ginger have had an accident and died . He immediatly asked me if I could replace her , he would come right away to pick another up . I asked him to go to his home , he said no , I asked him to read a specific close of the contract and the man hang up on me and never called back , few weeks later , I was walking with one of the girls when I saw him with the pup I sold him . He was in shock when I asked him how he does it to have a pup back from death . He said it was not him but the pup recognized the little song I whistled for her . ( when I whistle this song , the pup was always spinning around , this is the way I knew it was Ginger the spinner was still alive ) . |
completely unbelievable how awful people can be!!! |
I can't believe the gall on some people!!! How do they sleep at night! |

How heartbreaking!! I hope that the new owner will get over his grief soon and realize that another yorkie puppy will make him feel so much better (our good friends lost their 3 mos old puppy when he fell down the stairs...after much grief, they decided to adopt another little boy, who is now 2 and the apple of their eye! My sincere condolences... |
I just finished reading the whole story, when I saw your original thread I was so upset that Gia had "suddenly died", I wanted to send my heartfelt condolences...but now I see that something is really fishy here  ...you are like me and are trustful of people, sometimes it takes something like this to realize that not everyone is as nice and good and straight and caring as you...what a mess, hope you get it straightened out soon, but I honestly don't think you will be seeing any more money from him. |
Aww, I am so sorry to hear that. I've never heard of a Yorkie's heart jsut stopping either. :( |
Okay, I replied without reading the whole post. Bad Natalie. After reading all of that, something does seem fishy. If I were the man and my pup died, I would have asked what was wrong with her and actually question YOU because I had only had the puppy for a week. It seems kind of strange that he'd be so blunt about the puppy "just dying". I don't think a Yorkie can be playing and then all of a sudden just drop dead and die. He probably did not want to send you the rest of the money like you said. Afterall, he DID go down on price with you and what are the odds that Little Gia "dies" right before he told you he'll send you the money. I'm sure he read your e-mail and figured there was no way he could have pulled this one on you so decided to just send you the money and ignore it cause you are not as dumb as he thought you were! Hopefully you hear back from him, but if you don't.. I wouldn't be surprised! |
Omg. This is terrible. I cant believe how some peopel can be such scam artists. I reallu wish that you can figure out what happened to Little Gia. I wouldn't send him the papers until he pays the whole balance and ask him for proof of death from a Vet. Just an idea. Good luck and keep us posted. |
