| Advice on a dog after owning a Yorkie My very first post here. Not sure if this a right section of the forum. We lost our 9 year old Yorkie, Sassy. We raised since she was 8 weeks old. It is very painful. She taught me how to love and to have a big heart. My heart got bigger, but now she left a giant hole in my heart. My family thinks Sassy would've wanted us not to be sad, and for us to give our love to another dog that needs our love. For those who have lost a Yorkie, do you get another dog? If you do, do you get another Yorkie or different breed? Sassy was a one of kind. I am still sad as my best friend who loved me unconditionally is gone. Thank you in advance. Heejo. |

| I am so sorry for your loss. I think we all grieve in different ways. Like many on YT, I have loved and lost several Yorkies and other pups through the years. For me, I found I had room in my heart for another Yorkie, but had to wait awhile to yet through my grieving process. In the beginning I was comparing dogs, but realized they are all different and give different kinds of joy. Again so sorry and take care whatever your decision.

| Welcome to YT I am so very sorry for your loss of sweet lil Sassy. I have had several yorkies all now past. Each of my yorkies had different personalities, no two were the same. There was for me, no comparing a passed to the present, all had their own lil quirky ways, lil naughtyness that you just cannot get mad at but laugh or smile because yorkies are to darn cute to get mad at lol. I now have a rescue little boy, my first boy who is so different from my passed girls. For me, there is no other breed then a yorkie and I have had several other breeds before I got hooked on yorkies. If you feel the need to share your love I say, go for it, get another yorkie, they are all "one of a kind", Sassy would have wanted that for you

| Thank you both for kind and comforting words. So many great memories. All the items that belongs to Sassy , multiple crib beds, toys, clothes, snacks. Although she's gone, I don't want to put them away. Today, I feel thankful for her loving us. |

| When we lost our dear Keally we did go on and bought another Yorkie named Kinder. Keally would of wanted us to go on and love another yorkie. We keep pictures of our babies on the wall and enjoy the great memories. You will know in your heart what and when on another fur baby. Susan |

These lil sweeties leave such an impact on us when it's their time to leave us. Your baby will live forever in your heart and memory. A time will come when you can remember the good times, happy times when she was young, playful, pain free, you may have a tear in your eyes but you will have a smile on your face. This will not happen over night, the loss is to great but it will happen (((hugs)))
