I am really worried about my little girl!! Hi Everyone, My little girl was spayed on Friday. She stayed at the vet for the night and she was picked up on Saturday. She's resting peacefully at home right now. I am quite concern becuase she's very uncomfortable. She's walking around with her head and tail down. Always looking for a place to hide. She doesn't even want her favorite toys or her favorite fruit. Is this temporary? She's not her "normal" self. I know it's only been 3 days but I want my little girl back. She shakes when I pick her up and she wiggles until I put her down. Does this mean she's in pain? I am really concern and worried. If anyone has any advise or thoughts, please let me know! Thanks so much!

| She sounds like she may be in some pain. Zoey had pain medication for the first few days, so she just slept. My big concern with her was that she didnt poop for over 48hrs. Is your girl eating?

Hi Everyone, Thanks for the responses. She ate when she came home. She didn't really eat last night but she did eat, we had to feed her. The vet didn't give her any pain medication but she's on baby aspirin...she's refusing to take it. She took it the first time when we mixed it with apples/desert. But, she didn't take her apple or desert last night?!

I would definitely call your vet and describe her actions and hopefully they will give you something for her pain and discomfort. Also, I know with my little ones when they do not feel well they prefer to be left alone and not handled and they will try to find a quiet area to recuperate. I sure hope she feels better soon.

Once the pain and discomfort is gone she will most likely bounce back to her old self. I don't think her personality will change, but trips to the Vet may get more resistant and possibly aggressive. Last edited by grayxie; 09-24-2007 at 06:34 AM.
