Hot oil treatment Has anyone ever given their littel one a HOT? I want to try it but I don't want to hurt him. Of course it wouldn't be hot just warm. |
I've done it on Lacy a few times. I used the V05 hot oil treatment. |
yeah good Question....I was wondering if anyone has or had done this on their Yorkie? "Warm" Hot Oil Treament, and the End result from it. |
I give my girls a hot oil treatment from time to time, but never rub the hot oil on the skin, only massage it in the hair. |
Does it work well? |

hmm..interesting! I would have never thought to use this on Bella...would like to know from others how their coat is after application. |
Do be careful with oil, it changes the temperature of their body and they can become very cold. Don't know about the hot oil but seems to me it would cool off quickly and then you are still dealing with the oil. |
Well it made Diesel's hair VERY soft and it looks nice. I wouldn't do this all the time just every now and then. Once every few months or so. |
I've been useing hot oil treatments on the girls for over two years..........ever since they were babies. During the summer I do it once a month, but in the coldest months I do it after every bath. I use Sally's or VO5. Sally's is a beauty supply store. I dearly LOVE their brand oil and it smells wonderful. |

Thee girl with the beautiful haiir on my past puppies page at the bottom, has hot oil treatments on a reegular basis. |
hey thats a good idea. never thought about doing that for dogs. i use it. we have city water so it dries my skin out. cody has had dry skin when we got him. the vet put him on vitamins to put oil back to help. but do you think i could do the hot oil treatment to try and help faster? |
Do my show dogs every monday after a show. VO-5, then wash with a clarifying shampoo and then a rich moisturizing conditioner and rinse...... The ones that aren't showing get one once a month. |
