Very Concerned.. Waiting on vet to open... please HELP I was scared to post this... but i really need help until i can get to the vet to see what she thinks. its 7 am and they don't open til around 9. Yesterday I noticed a white spot where cody has no hair there... i read on the search that they lose puppy hair. when i brush him i get a little hair but not much. and he sheds a little on my clothes. but nothing major. should i be concerned?? i cant get any good pics of it right now. could it be he is just losing the puppy hair and new hair will come through???

| He could be getting new hair in, or he might have fleas. Did you look for them? It could be a couple of things, but nothing that I know of would be serious, so cuddle him a lot and go to the vet. He'll be fine.

Where is the spot? Zoey got a bare spot on her head where I had been pulling her hair up, and she would try to knock it down.

Our dog got a bald spot (twice) after being vaccinated. I think it was an allergic reaction, but the hair grew back. I'm anxious to hear what the vet says.

It could be a bug bite or bee sting. Some dogs are very sensitive... I've heard of tic bites they loose hair.. Even if she was on a med for that it may have tried to bite????????? I've seen dogs that have throid problems having spots of hair missing or it falls out easily.. When females are under stress from whelping sometimes will blow their coats.. Dog's poorly nurished under these conditions will also blow coats..
