| New and wanting to say hi and thank you I just wanted to say hi to everyone and a BIG thank you !! This is a wonderful place to come for anything Yorky and I've gotten so many questions answered here just by reading. I feel the love everyone has for their babies and I know I have found an online home where I can come and share our lives with all of you. I am a new Yorky mom. My name is Patty and my baby is Maggie, who's almost 13 weeks old (will be Sunday) and I've had her almost 3 weeks now. She's a whopping 1.7 pounds of pure energy !! She went to the vet's office this morning (my first time taking her) and he said she looked very healthy and said I must be a good mom I made my husband hold her though while she got her shot, I had to leave the room. I started crying !! I was shaking and more traumatized than she was !! lol But she came through it like the trooper she is and seems so far to be doing great. I've have fallen so in love with her and can't imagine not having her in my life. My husband is just as crazy about her !! This coming from a man who said he'de never have a "rat dog" !! Mags has him wrapped around her tiny little paw !! lol I had to put my beloved baby put down this past July 2. Her name was Daisy and she was a schnauzer mix and my best friend. She was 12 1/2 years old. She developed cancer, had one surgery but it came back within 6 months. I was totally devastated. My husband is so wonderful though and he pushed me to look for another puppy so I could start the healing process. Maggie sorta came to us by fate and she truly has been a blessing to me. I'm feeling alot better thanks to that little munchkin'. Today was an extra tough day though for me. Besides stressing out about Maggie having to go to the vets, I also had to pick up Daisys ashes. We had her cremated and I hadn't been able to go mentally and get her until now. So I am sad today but all I have to do is look at Maggie and she just makes it all better. So anyways, I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and your lil angels. Here's some pictures of Maggie. The pic on the red play mat is just recent. The others are when she was 8 & 10 weeks old. Last edited by pittypatty; 08-17-2007 at 07:26 AM. Reason: just correcting mistakes |

| What a cutie!! Yorkies are the most precious, smartest, bestest dogs in the whole world!!!!! I know other little animals get into your heart, too, but yorkies are truly unique in how they change your whole life. Since we've had Sweetie we don't eat out very often, simply for the fact that "if we can't take her somewhere, we usually don't go". Congratulations and welcome!! There is so much information on this site that should you have any questions, whatsoever, there is someone here with the answer. Take care and have fun with your puppy!!! Now you can buy clothes for her!!! Love, Cyndi & Sweetie |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Hi Patty and Maggie - welcome to YT - you will like it here. Maggie is adoreable and I love the little red/yellow rug she is on. Sorry to hear about your other doggie - I lost two Yorkies 17 (to old age) 17 years ago and it took me this long to get another one...sigh....I went with cats instead but there is nothing like having a furbutt in the house again....now it feels like a home again. Post more pics - we like pics here.
