BANNED! | All mine have built in alarm clocks. They get up at 6:00 am everyday to eat, potty and drink. I let them play for abit then they are ready to go back to bed for another hour or 2. I've tried keeping them up late and feeding them later but they still get up early, so we have adjusted the schedule for their needs around here. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Since I got Pixie she gets up at 5 am no matter what I do and she gets the other 2 all excited and I have 3 of them jumping on me. I get up and feed them and then go back to bed for a few more hours. I wish I could break her of that bad habit, SInce I retired I don't have to get up that early now I still am.

| I haven't slept through one night straight without getting up at least once due to a yorkie since February 21. I feel your pain! Per the advice of another member, I have started putting a nightie or PJ's on Milli before bed. This helps her sleep longer than before-but she still wakes up to potty, and then she wants to come in bed with us (she sleeps in her playpen, which is in our room.) It's really annoying, but at least I've got her "time" moved from 2 or 3 AM to 4 or 5 am-it's better when it's more like 5, because I can just get up then anyway. Emma will wake me up at 5:30 to eat-it's like clockwork. Also, try giving your yorkie a snack around 3 hours before bedtime-a full tummy might make her sleep longer.

| I am not a morning person and luckily Lacy is SO good about sleeping in with me. We normally get up around 9 every morning. But I will have to start getting up before 7:00 in a couple weeks. But I have been known to sleep until 2:00 in the afternoon if undisturbed! She just sleeps right along with me. I don't know how she doesn't have to go potty after that long but I guess as long as she's sleeping with me she's okay.

| My three get up early, 6AM, every morning also. I get up and let them outside, and while they are out I make them breakfast and put it on the porch. I let them in on the porch and then they eat breakfast. I have a sheep skin blanket out there and eat and then go back to bed out there while I go back to bed for a little while. This schedule will change when school starts and I have to go back to work.

| Snooki wakes up depending if anyone else wakes up. My parents get up at 6:30 am so Snooki does too, making me in turn have to wake up too. He has his own routine though! I get up, take him outside, give him some food and then he jumps back to bed with me for another hour or so! If nobody gets up in the house in the morning, he sleeps as long as I do! One time he slept to 10:00am with me! He is a sleeper!

| UH OH! LOL...This is the part of puppy raising i'm NOT looking forward to! I love my sleep and i'm not good in the morning..amazing i used to work with horses and have to get up at the crack of dawn!...Heidi was like me, if i was curled up asleep in bed she would be right there with me curled up too and would stay there until i decided to get up..god i was spoilt! I hope Pixie will be like that eventually!

| The only way I stopped Penny was to crate her next to my bed. She's so happy in there (don't know why) that she doesn't make a peep until I wake up.

| My only suggestions would be to have your puppy sleep in another bed instead of with you. |

| Wow...I can't believe how late some of you sleep! I wish I could sleep like that even without a dog! Max would wake up at 4:30 if I let him, but when it's just him and me, he'll sleep til 5:30 am....and I don't think it's b/c he has to go potty....he wants FOOD, lol. It's definitely ok now, during the summer, b/c we need to get out early to walk before it gets too hot (which is by 7 am ). Then we get home and he sleeps almost the rest of the day . When my dh is home on the weekends, he's usually really exhausted, b/c he normally gets up around 4 am during the week, so I try to keep Max in bed til at least 6....I keep him under the covers and just tell him to lie down and go "nitey nite"...he's pretty good for a little while, but it took awhile to get him to settle down and not be wiggling all over. Trying to stay in bed past 6 would never work here though..that's about his limit!
