Can this happen after a spaying??? Sorry to keep posting about Dolce's spaying, but since she has been home, my mother and i have noticed that she is having a hard time going to the bathroom (not peeing)...she also is dragging her butt on the floor. Could this be from the spaying? Has anyone heard of this?? Also, what could i give her to maybe help loosen it?? ( sorry to be a little graphic there)...thanks guys for any help!! |
Maybe you should take her to the vet. She might need to have her anal glands cleaned. I hear this happens to smaller breeds. Its not related to spaying though. Hope she gets better soon. |
:D Thank u Rachel, I thought this might be the case...but she was groomed a week or so ago and they clean out there anal glands if they need to be. LOVE MY GROOMER!!! lol...anyway...i will wait till tomorrow and see...then maybe its time to go back to the vet. Thanks again!! |
Magic acted the exact same way after her spaying but the vet told us she was just really sore and that it would take a couple of days for it to relax...it lasted about a week and then everything went back to normal and she hasn't had a problem since....but I really hope that your little one gets better soon!!! |
She may just be constapated. :) |
I would just call the vet and ask, no harm in that is there? |
I haven't spay Gucci yet, but I heard that when they drag their butts on the floor it might be that the anal glands need to be express. Maybe is best you call the vet and ask him. But since you said she is haveing a hard time going, you should call the vet inmediately to be safe. Is she drinking and eating ok? Please let us know how she is doing. |
Mine did not do that after spaying, I'd agree with the others, call your vet. It probably is nothing but you never know., after all when we have surgery it is hard to go, so it's probably the same with them. |
Yea i am going to give him a call tomorrow just to be sure...she isnt going "the usual"...lol She is eating and drinking normally though, so i dont know...maybe a little constipated or a little uncomfortable after the spaying...i will let all of u know...thank u so much!!! :D |
