Did I not rinse him well enough? Today I woke up to Keeley having little white dots on his fur (kind of dandruff looking). I bought him some new tearless baby shampoo and gave him a bath last night. The little white dots are on his back and sides, not his face of legs. He doesn't seem to be itching. What could it be? Is it the new shampoo? |
Simple as A B C , you didn't rinse him enough . |

Do I need to rerinse him today? |
Yes , because if you let the dry shampoo there it can cause skin irritations and at the end , a trip to the vet . |

Sounds exactly right. I rinse until Maggie squeaks, then rinse some more. |
I always rinse Gazou twice the time I take to shampoo him . Lol.....He is squeaky clean . |
Isn't baby shampoo bad for pups because of their PH balance? Dog shampoo have a certain PH whereas human shampoos (even baby) have a higher PH right? This is what the vet told me. |
Along with the rinsing it may also be that you are using a different shampoo. I noticed once after I switched Reagan she did that but after few days or so she was better. After a little while of using that shampoo and rinsing well you could always try another one if it doesn't get better. I think that their coat is like our hair, a certain kind of shampoo may work great for you but not so good for me. |
