| Big question that could help Babybear Hey there Everyone, I have a big question I hope all or some can help with. I have been watching Babybear a lot since he had his acupuncture for changes. I have noticed one or two, but the important one is he is trying to stand and walk more. The one thing that is a problem is. When I lay him on his bed he will stand on it and try to walk as soon as his feet hit the carpet he slides so he will stop trying. I put him on my bed and he will stand and try to walk, but gets tied up in the blankets eventually. So where do I go from here. I have a play pen for him but he hates it because he thinks he can't see anyone. I have thought of taken the lamb skin or some fleece and making like a make pretend bed for him so he can walk on it. I wanted to throw the idea out to anyone that can help or give me suggestions. I was hoping to get some help from you all. Oh I did take a small rug this weekend and turn it over so there was grip for his feet. I have tried to put things on his feet he chews them off. So that is a no go on that one. Thanks for all the help everyone. And for listening to my troubles with my little guy.

| thank you for that suggestion. I was hoping not to have to take up a whole room for Babybear.lol But it looks like I may have to.lol someone also suggested taking a old egg crate for a mattress and sewing matterial around it to make a area he could practice walking in. I am going to ask the dogtor tomorrow when Babybear goes for his accupunture. He might have an idea. Thank you again

| Just a thought..... but what about putting several sheets of foam rubber side by side to make a large area for him? I've bought the foam rubber at Wal Mart before when I was making chair cushions. I think that would give him "grip", plus cushion him if he does fall and it comes in different thicknesses so if you got some that was "just right", it wouldn't hurt him if he walked off it.

| Thank you all for the ideas. I talked to his vet today when I took him for his accupunture appointment and showed him a mat I had made for Babybear's stroller and he thought that would be better than foam things. He said something about his feet would go into foam(egg crate or cushion) to much. I had taken a bit of quilt batting and folded it over about 4 times and put some fake lamb skin and a piece of left over matterial I had and sewed everything together. The vet said to make him one bigger and that would be great for him to walk on because his legs wouldnt' get caught on anything. So I guess I will be busy making something like that for him. Thank you all for all your help. I was going to try and buy those new exercise matt that are squares you put together like a puzzle and put him on that, but the vet said no to that also. So we will see how things go. I will keep everyone posted.
