| Maybe give your vet a call. These dogs are so little that you might not want to take a chance. The vet might just say that with the little amount that your baby will be just fine. Good luck and hopefully everything will be fine. |

| i know that when dogs eat something that might be potentially dangerous, vets say to give them peroxide to make them throw it up before they digest it.. however i have no idea how much. i'd call the vet! |

| If it was NOT dark dark chocolate, it probably won't even make him sick. But do call the vet and see what they say. I hope he's okay!

| If it is not a large amount, I'm sure your baby will be fine. He may have an upset tummy but I doubt it will be dangerous to him however if you are not sure of the amount and think that there's a chance he could've consumed more, call the vet but in the meantime force vomit but giving him 2 teaspoons of peroxide.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | This was taken from YorkieTalk sticky: "Chocolate/Caffeine: Chocolate contains theobromine, a compound that is a cardiac stimulant and a diuretic. After their pet has eaten a large quantity of chocolate, many pet owners assume their pet is unaffected. However, the signs of sickness may not be seen for several hours, with death following within twenty-four hours. Symptoms include Staggering, labored breathing, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, tremors, fever, heart rate increase, arrhythmia, seizure, coma, death. Cocoa powder and cooking chocolate are the most toxic forms. A 10-kilogram dog can be seriously affected if it eats a quarter of a 250gm packet of cocoa powder or half of a 250gm block of cooking chocolate. These forms of chocolate contain ten times more theobromine than milk chocolate. Thus, a chocolate mud cake could be a real health risk for a small dog. Even licking a substantial part of the chocolate icing from a cake can make a dog unwell. Semi-sweet chocolate and dark chocolate are the next most dangerous forms, with milk chocolate being the least dangerous. A dog needs to eat more than a 250gm block of milk chocolate to be affected. Obviously, the smaller the dog, the less it needs to eat." For More information on toxic foods see http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43555 Nancy |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali got a hold of a little foil wrapped peanut putter cup last week when I had my 9 year old godchild for the day and she left it on the bed. I caught Cali after she had chewed a little bit of it and she was fine.
