| Bobbi was 3lbs when I got him @ 12 weeks and a 'beach ball'............too cute! He is now about 3 1/2 lbs and almost 6 months.......(he has gotten longer and taller but only gained a few ounces). He has a small frame.........but who knows how big he'll get (and it doesn't matter to me). My boy was a single born and had all mom's teets to himself! (what a lucky lil guy................lol) Anyhow, get her 'money back guarantee' in writing.........she may end up to be a big girl and you should be getting a partial refund

| You triple the weight at 8 weeks to get an estimate of adult weight. That would make her 6 lbs

| Somethings not right here!! 1 lb 10 ozs in 3 weeks, that isn't possible!! Unless they were big to start off with and yours wasn't.. My boy weighed 1.1 at 8 weeks and is now 3.5 at 18 months... Something smells fishy!! Are you sure that is the puppy you picked out??

The parents size doesn't guarantee her range. Does your breeder have weights/pictures/information to share with you regarding past litters Please get everything in writing (regarding the refund). I really think she's not going to stay so small though.

| I think 6-7 lbs is probably a reasonable weight. I got my Coco when she was 12 weeks old and she was barely a lbs. At almost 2 years old, now she's 4 and a half lbs. By the growth chart standards she should have been no more than 3 lbs but THANK GOD she made it to 4 lbs and now is closer to 5 lbs, but is TEEEEENNYY. But my point is the chart wasn't correct for me. 2 LBS at 8 weeks seems pretty large, not in general but for her age. But who knows how big she'll get. If you've already fallen in love with her and they are willing to refund you, then I guess it doesn't matter.

| I agree with the others here... she will be around 6 pounds... unless she just "stops growing" because she isn't nursing on mom anymore... but I doubt that.... 2 pounds at 8 weeks old is not a small yorkie.... if that is what you think you paid for. Good luck.

| If the breeder says she will refund the extra $200 if she gets to be a bigger yorkie, and considers over 5 lbs to be bigger, then I would pretty much plan on getting that $200 back in a few months. I do have two yorkies in the 6 lb range and have never considered them to be "bigger yorkies" by any means. Perfect size if you ask me! Also frame shape and size can make a big difference in the appearance of two yorkies of the same weight. My boy appears much larger than my girl but both weigh about the same.
