To Mardelin -- Thank you! I found a Sally's in the next town over and have already used my Wahl Peanut on Sadie -- what a difference. You gotta have the right tools! I made a couple of swipes on each ear and they are nice and clean with a perfect line. I really like that little Peanut -- very handy and easy to use.

Glad to help, you can also do their foot pads with them. Yes, the right tools and products to make a difference. Since I groom and show I find the Peanut has been a great investment. They really are very safe, I do my soon to be mother's underbelly just prior to whelping and have never had razor burn.

I love the way Josie looks ... she and Monday could be twins ... and I love the floppy ears look .... shez so loveable ... and you even have Josie's hair in a topknow (which I cannot do) ...

While I was looking at info on Yorkies I found a website. It is: yorkies.com It has basic info. It also shows how to tape the ears.

when we got max from our breeder he had one ear not standing up. our breeder put a breath-rite nasal strip inside the ear not only did it work but you could barely see it!!!!:D

I have not heard that one but it sure sounds like good idea! I may buy a package and give it a try. Sadie's ears are so thin, and now that I have shaved them, they feel too thin to stand up on their own.

It's what I use, but you need duo surgical/eyelash glue......cut the Breathe Rite strip in half, peel of the adhisive strip, coat with a thin coat of glue, place the strip, widest part down as far down as you can get it and hold in place until dry......Oh! shave the ears 1st. They usually come off on their own, if ears stay up a couple of days you're ok!, if they go down, reapply. The great thing about this is you don't have puppies dragging each other around by the masking tape bridge used in the other method.

Ginger's ears took a long time to stand up. She was almost 7 months old I think before they stayed up full time. I tried to tape, but it bothered her so I took it off. Too soft I know. I like the idea of the strips in the ears, maybe that wouldn't bother them so much. But I had her groomer shave the inside and outside of her whole ear and they stand up great now. And I am so used to the shaved ear look that I will probably keep them that way. She has the large heavy ear thing going for her too.

I had a Chihuahua with Floppy ears.
I loved her ears. Made her unique. :)

I have Monday in a puppy cut, how do you deal with the long hair and what do you use to put the topknot in???
