Paws!!paws!!!pictures!! 2 Attachment(s) I just have one question on grooming mainly, when I take Tinkerbell to the groomers they shave her paws, is this how you all get your yorkies paws done?? What are the paws supposed to look like, here in Korea that is what they do:eek:. She looks kinda funny:D :D Take a look:D |
Nooo, that's the first time I have seen the feet shaven like that. Usually they trim them but they are otherwise the same length as the rest of the bottom portion of the leg area. Anyone else?? |
Same here they just trim it. |
Well I guess I'll have to ask next time to just trim. I asked them and they said this is how Yorkies get their paws groomed:eek:  Maybe here in Korea:rolleyes:  I poor Tinkerbell:p :p She looks cute anyways, but I was really wondering because everyones babies look like the paws are just trimmed. She has only been to the groomers about 3 times and they have cut her the same way with the feet shaved:( :( Has eanyones babies been shaved like this?? |
I shave my yorkies paws too! Her hair on her legs though is long so you can't tell that her feet are shaved. The way they did your yorkies paws is like the way the do a poodle's feet. Let the leg hair grow and you'll never know her feet are shaved. I like the paws shaved because it keeps them from tracking dirt and stickers in. :) |
No those paws are really shaved down. My groomer leaves more hair and they just blend into the rest. You dont notice the paws like you do on your pup. I would tell them not to shave them next time. |
Hey Micaela, yes the groomers did that to KimMee too when we were there. I think they do it cause the dogs walk on the city streets and go everywhere with us. The groomer here doesn't shave her feet like that. KimMee is very sensitive to feet touching and I often wonder if it is because they shaved her feet so close. Think about how hard that must be with a scared and wiggly pup like KimMee. Ps- the groomers in Korea are so precise- I was always amazed at how every hair is in place! |
No, that's the first time I saw them shaved. My groomer usually just cuts it short. |

2 Attachment(s) Thanks for all your opinions and info on this:thumbup:. I will make sure her I ask next time just to have them trim around the paws, not shave:(. This was their suggestion for Yorkies, for Maltese they do it more like what my dogs have now. |

Mine didn't shave them but they cut them shorter that the hair on your pups here. However I personally am very fond of what I call Reagan's muppet feet and didn't even like them cut short, but over time they grew back so I wasn't too bummed. Oh I call them muppet feet because they are more shaggy like elmo or oscar the grouch or whatever muppet you choose's feet. I really like how this pups feet are cut, cute dog too. |
I think it is strange they cut Chiqutios feet differently than Tinkerbell's- don't you? |
I do:rolleyes: But as you know I speak not a word in Korean:( :( So mainly I try to do sign:D :D Not good at it:D Most Maltese I have seen here are cut this way and I really hadn't payed attention to Yorkies feet, but I think I will now:D :D |
that's a real nice job; it had to be hard to be so trimmed. it's such a journey for me just to trim my doggie's paws |
I've never seen that before, but I really like it ! I think its cute and different. |

hehe- I totally understand girl- I did a lot of pantamiming(sp) when I lived there. I also got my hubby's secretary to write it out in korean for me- that helped some. |
