Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | I WISH I'd had a camera...!!! When Abbie 'chased' a huge rooster, today. I took her to visit a friend in the country, and there's one lone rooster in resident. He's a huge, magnificent specimen and at first, Abigail was afraid of him. So was I, since one never knows what might make a rooster decide to jump in and spur a would-be attacker. Anyway, at one point we were outside, doing our 'business' when she spotted the rooster several yards away. Well, this time, she took the Yorkie stance and barked for all her 5lbs worth. Now, whether Mr. Rooster had decided to change course on his own, or if he was just tired of this 'yappy' thing on the end of a string getting ever closer - we'll never know. But, when he did move away, my little girl pranced around and sniffed like she'd just saved the world from the evil Feather Monster!

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | Thanks, everyone Being (as yet) an untrained pup, I really am leary to let her run free when outside, so there's only so much she can do at the end of a leash. LOL But she was protecting me for all she was worth! Quote:

| Hahaha...loved that story and picturing little Abbie feeling important and in control! I wish you had a camera...it would have been a keeper and we all would have loved to see it! It is so funny how these little furballs seem to feel so proud whenever they can ward off a predator. So cute. We have wild turkeys wandering in town and they used to come into our yard quite often. They poop all over and make a mess. I haven't seen them lately, but am always scared if Maddie took off after one, that they could scratch out her eyes with their claws. Hopefully they would just fly over the fence before she got to them, but who knows. I'd rather not find out!!!
