| Any advice re using a stroller for the 1st time Hi just looking for some advice ,about using a stroller. Alfie is 16 and a half now and Lottie is 15 , and they are both slowing down but I still want to be able to take them out to the park and out for walks . I have just ordered a stroller and hopefully it will be delivered this week .

| Callie loved loved her stroller. She hated being on the ground at pet expos and she was a bigger yorkie so it worked great for us. As she got older I used it when we took the younger ones for walks. I made sure the one I had, had tethers in it though because she hated it being closed. There are so many different choices now. Back when I got Callie’s first one it was 13 or so years ago. I have also used it to take into stores like Bass pro and stuff.

| I just hope they like it as Alfie can not walk very far now but still likes being out and about Lottie is still quite sprightly but at present has a tear in her cornea and is on medication drops for it but I think she might be a bit more nervous of it so I will have a acclimatise her a bit more. Wish me luck

| I have one for my 12 pounder. When the stroller was deliver I put my guy in not knowing what his reaction was going to be, he was then 6 years old. I put his harness on and clipped the tethers to it, I didn't need him sky diving out of. To my amazement he stayed in it. I walked through the house, smooth surface, then out on the deck, rough surface. He was fine, he enjoyed it. The next day I drove to a quiet area in town. Put him in the stroller tethered, now he was eye level with all the stores, a new experience for him, he sat like a king on a throne, he was mesmerized by all the sights he could now see. Most of the street corners were low for wheel chairs, some were not, I found it difficult to get it up onto the curb. I guess I need more curbs for more practice lol.

| Than you so much for your replies, it should arrive today and I can get them acclimatised to it . Matese he looks so comfy in there I hope that my 2 will enjoy getting out and about more , Alfie has epilepsy and once whilst out he had a fit and my neighbour gave me a loan of her buggy to get him home so he has had a try of one before and he seemed fine but that was a few years ago, so fingers crossed he will enjoy this one. I have went for a 3 wheeler one which did look quite good on the website and had good review , I will let you know how we progress.

| After you get it set up, put both your pups in it, if you think they may try to jump out put their harnesses on and tether them to the stroller. Keep the hood up and just walk around the inside of your home. You will see how they react. Then you can take them out doors for a test run when you can. I have a 3 wheel and a 4 wheel, I find the 3 wheel is much better for maneuvering. Let us know how it works out.

| Thanks for the advice , it’s just arrived so I will set it up in the house first . Little Lottie has a sore eye at present so don’t know if she will be trying it out tonight as she is a bit uncomfortable.

| Just set it up, leave it where they can sniff it and get use to the smell. When I was setting mine up, Cody was right there watching me and sniffed everything. When Lottie is feeling better just put them both in and as I said, just walk the stroller from room to room, so they get use to the stroller motion.

| Awwww poor baby I hope she feels better soon. Penny is having an eye issue to. My biggest issue is keeping her from rubbing it. They gave me ointment for it which is so much harder then drops but she is doing great with it.

| I hate to think her having any pain from her eye , just keeping up with the drops. 7 times a day is a job in itself . Hope your little one is feeling better soon. Well the Pram arrived last night and so far we have had a few goes around the living room , mostly with just Alfie but then Lottie had a little try too , so far so good , can’t wait to have them fully acclimated to it then we can get out more , if they are feeling up to it.

| Good that you set them in it and they behaved. Outside is a whole different thing. They will be seeing the world at a different height. My guy just loves it. Poor Lottie, 7 drops a day is a job, but it's helping her. Let us know how it works when they have their first outing.

| Wow, what great news. As long as Lottie was able to walk that was fine. If she cannot make the walk home she will appreciate hitching a ride home in the buggy. When I ask Cody, wanna go bye bye in the buggy he knows its the stroller and gets all excited. Although he would prefer to walk, sniff and mark lol he just loves his buggy.
