| I posted the same thing last night. I have to say this is scary and I think Hills has lost my support and recommendations.

| Hills I too am worried as I feed the Prescription kibble not canned. However if they can make a mistake with canned why not with kibble? When I called Hills they did not seem interested in that point and I don’t believe they even told anyone at Hills that they should look into the kibble too. It seemed possible to me that the same vitamin mix could be used in other foods, but the agent did not care to note my comment and fear. |

| I am sorely disappointed in Hills. As a company who is supposed to have much better quality control and has pups whose lives DEPEND on these foods.... I will not ever feed nor recommend. I hope Royal Canin and Purina do not run into these same problems or any other company who has RX foods available for sick pups.

| I agree Brit, it is terrible that Hills could allow this to happen. Many of our pets depend on these special foods and expect excellent quality control. I had thought of changing over to another prescription food, but fear my dog might not like it. And the same mess could happen with that food if this is the way dog food manufacturers behave. My dog has been well for several years after a bout of Pancreatitis on the Hills Prescription, and although I do not care for the ingredients I kept him on it as he was doing so well.. so I guess I will stay with it and pray that Hills do a better job in the future. What also bothered me was the fact that they waited for many dog owner complaints before the recall, they did not find the excess D by their quality control system. They just depended on the supplier to get it right! |

| Taylor, I agree with you it might be best to change food. However changing food can be trouble in itself. My dog’s GI system is so good at this time, I am scared to upset the Apple cart. I will discuss with my vet. Perhaps Hills will be scared into improving their products now??? |

| My Cali eats Prescription Royal Canin low fat kibble, but I use the Hills lo fat prescription kibble food as treats - well at least I used to. Like everyone has said - very disappointing and scary. I too, will just stick to Royal Canin now.
