| My little guy started with aggressive behavior towards his big brother. Granted, Arthur was about 60 pounds and Bon Bon was four pounds, but it was still something I did not want. Bon Bon was neutered at 6 months. No more aggressive behavior! He had an un-descended testicle at 8 weeks and at 12 weeks, but by 16 weeks, it dropped. At 24 weeks, snip! |

| There is definitely a chance most will fall out but it is normal with yorkies to have some pulled during the neuter. All four of mine had to have teeth pulled when they got fixed.

He's really not much of a humper... except he very occasionally tries to hump my arm when he's mad that I promptly take away toys that he's pulling the stuffing out of or Kong tennis balls that he's skinned. We found that the stern "no" from me just rewards him with attention, so my husband immediately takes him out of the room and diverts him with another activity until he calms down. We try not to use his pen as a "time out" place, because we don't want him to associate it with being "punished". | |

| About three weeks before he had surgery. He was more snarly with his 'brother' and was much more aggressive guarding toys. He doesn't guard toys any more, and his snarly aggressive fits are shorter and now happen with cause. His big brother is a bit of a klutz, and will jump and hop when playing. Bon Bon is much quicker than his brother and is able to duck, but when he's had enough, he will get his big bro to back off, lie down, and play more fairly. It's amazing to watch. The little guy rules the roost. |

| Oh! Bon Bon also had to have a separate surgery to remove 6 baby teeth. I thought it would cost more than it did, but the holes were so tiny, he didn't need sutures. He had his chip done along with the neuter, as the needle for the chip is way too big for a little puppy to tolerate without anesthesia. His big brother handled the chip needle just fine, but he was somewhere around 40 pounds when we chipped him. Why am I comparing Bon Bon and Arthur so often? They are only 10 days apart in age. |

| I have two males, one a Yorkie and one a Pom. 15 weeks doesn't seem that unusual for humping, as I had one humping at 10! We had both of our dogs fixed, to decrease this desire, and to also avoid marking all over the house. Cody (our Yorkie) would have to have been neutered regardless, as one of his testicles did not descend, and was in his abdomen. If left alone, it would have caused all types of health problems. There is no easy answer, but I really do believe in spaying, and neutering, just for overall health. Quote:
