Update on Mack Hey everyone and I'm sorry once again I have been away so long.... Been a busy bee with my kiddos and fur kids. I am sad tonight though so I thought I would come here and post as I knew you guys would understand. Took my crew to get groomed and after the inch of hair was removed from Blue born Macks little body, 2 new moles showed their face. I don't even want to acknowledge they are there. I just want to ignore the obvious, but I know I can't. I will call his vet tomorrow and let him know. I know that he will ask I bring him in, I know that he will remove them and have them biopsied, I know they will come back cancerous, I know he will tell me that the cancer has spread.....and he will once again encourage me to put Mack through rigorous chemo that I know he can't withstand......but, when I look at Mack, and see his spunky little self, his happy demeanor, his eagerness to love and play, I just can't make myself think that this could once again be the beginning of the end. It's just not fair. Again, I'm just so sad, and wanted to share this with the ones who will understand. Miss you all and I hope you all are doing well. Kendra |
I'm so sorry to read this Kendra, and I'm sorry to hear of sad news that brings you back to us. Just know that many of us are thinking of you and Mack. You know what is best for him and I know you will make the right decisions for him. |
This is so heart breaking...poor Mack...it really is not fair for him. I hope he'll be fine and maybe a miracle exists and the cancer won't spread and go away for good. We can only hope and pray but it sounds like he is in good hands with you. Goodluck to u and Mack 60times!! it must be even worse for u than him,, you know what's gonna happen I'm sorry about that |
I am sorry to read this, I will be praying for the Big Mack. Kendra, IF he has to have chemo Please contact a homeopathic vet for supplements & diet to help him through chemo. My Sparky has lymphoma & in remission now for 3 1/2 yrs, he made it through chemo with little problems & actually only had 1 problem & that was caused by a mistake his oncologist made with his metronidazole dose @ 35 mg & should have been 250 mg:rolleyes: IDK what he was thinking with that but once I figured out he was on the wrong dose & got the rite dose in him, he was fine. Sparky is a rescue who was near death when we found him & he's never been quite rite health wise, maybe like Mack, but I believe the supplements & diet were the key to his successful chemo & remission. We did phone appts & I can give you his number if you like, just PM me. |
Oh wow! I remember when Mack was born and I'm so sorry to hear this. Hang in there and know our prayers are with you. |
Thank you for the info... I will definitely look into that. I just pray it all turns out ok. That little guy always surprises me. He creeping up on his FIFTH birthday! That alone is a Miricle! But I want him to have many many many more! I will keep you all posted |
So Sorry to hear the news |
Kendra, I am very sorry to hear about the moles. Keeping Mack and you in my thoughts and prayers. |
Oh no. I am praying they are not cancer. Please keep us updated |
I'm so sorry to hear your furbaby is having troubles :( My old jack russell went through her third surgery for tumor removals (had two surgeries this year and one 3 years ago) and we were told it will definitely come back, but since she's around 13 we are just hoping the next time won't come around too soon and it ruin her quality of life near the end. But interestingly enough she's very bouncy and acts like she's got years added to her since her second surgery and pretty much acted like she didn't have surgery the last time. Which surprised the vets too, cause usually dogs would limp or act sore etc. but she just ran around like it was nothing :p |
Mack and you are in our thoughts. |
Kendra, I think of Mack Brown and always wonder how he is doing. I am keeping him in my prayers and thoughts. We all love him! Hugs to you as I know you are so worried for your miracle boy. |
I truly believe in miracles and I believe in the power of love and prayers. I believe that your little guy may surprise you with his ability to come through all this just fine. I sincerely hope and pray for wonderful good news for Mack and all...May God bless you and Mack and your entire family. |
I have been silently following your journey with Mack and I will be thinking of you and hoping for a positive outcome. |
Don't give up hope !!!💓 |
Always cheering for Mack. Will be sending prayers and hugs! |
So very, very sorry to hear about Mack, that must be so devastating. My heart goes out to you, cannot imagine going through that. Please keep us up to date on how he is doing, and hope he comes through all this to be a healthy pup again. Very best wishes and prayers to you. |
Hey guys! So, the vet said let's wait! He thinks since the moles are so small right now we should give it some time....we will closely monitor them for growth. Removing them and letting "air" expose the "wounds" makes it more aggressive.... Macks labs all look good so another small victory! Maybe they won't get any larger.... I don't quite get this form of cancer. Last time, they urged me to give him an aggressive form of chemo.... I didn't feel with his poor immune system he could handle it so I declined.... That was several months ago....and he has been good! I think he has a special angel watching over him, so for now, I'll just keep close tabs... And keep loving him so much! He's doing very good otherwise by the way. When I actually have time to get to a computer, I'll post some pics. He is still such a sweet little boy. Loves kisses and snuggles. Loves to lick your legs and toes dry fresh out of the shower...Still so very quiet unless your brushing his hair... Then he muffles the faintest little whimper. His eyes are still a hazel color and his his soft hair is still a beautiful white with no signs of falling out. He's such a blessing, and I just want him to have a happy, wonderful life! |
That sounds like good news! YEA!!! He is so lucky to have such a wonderful, caring, loving mom! Please send pics!!! :-) |
Oh Kendra - I'm so sorry to read this potentially sad news :(. I will keep you both in my thoughts, and I'm really just hoping this is somehow just some minor skin anomalies... |
