| Once you let your yorkie sleep in your bed... ..Will they sleep in their bed again? I let Chloe nap in my bed but she doesn't sleep in it for the night. She does stand near my bed when I go to sleep for a few minutes to see if she can go up but then she goes into her bed. If I let her sleep in it, will she still sleep in her bed or will she want my bed only?

| Once in your bed it will be impossible to get her to sleep on her own ever again, IMO. Be careful.

| Yep. I love it though and wouldn't have it any other way.

My babies always slept with me, I can't go to sleep if my boy is not on the bed with me.

| We successfully got the dogs out of our bed. They cried like babies for a couple of days but we got past it. Three days after they were out of the bed, we missed them and they haven't left since.

| Canines instinctively want to sleep near or touching other members of their pack and any other arrangement seems wrong to them if we look at it from the dog's point of view. Plus, whenever a Yorkie even once they really like, it becomes an expected habit for them. Besides, who doesn't want to sleep with their warm, sweet Yorkie! Seriously, though, given an option, he may choose to sleep in his bed at times during the night in addition to your bed. Most dogs wake frequently and change their positions and sleeping places often during the night if given options. Tibbe will start the night right beside my head on my pillow, moves next to my midsection on the bed, then changes to the foot of the bed and often down to his airline crate on the floor for a while(especially during the summer) before moving back to beside me on my pillow, all during the course of one night.

| Callie sleeps mostly in a crate that's open at night but if I am really sick or she is really sick she likes to sleep on my legs. I think when we moved the bed got to high for her though and I fear knocking her off so she just sleeps in her crate now that is all nice and comfy. Her crate is only like a foot from my bed.

| Teddy, as usual, seems to be unique in this respect. He never wanted to sleep with me but definitely wants to sleep near me. Even when I put him in the bed, he sneaks off! But, it is like others say. For most dogs, once you let them in...well....proceed with caution! I think having their own space in your room or just outside of your room is good enough. You have a right to your own space - if you want it, that is! |

He starts on our bed...then gets too hot and gets into his own bed....then up and down he goes all night long.... Well, apparently that's what he does - I don't know - it's Andy that he continually bothers - not that I've taught Harry to do that or anything....

| Maggie slept in her crate while being house trained but as soon as we had that down she was in bed with us. She is in her crate if I have to leave the house, and does LOVE her crate, but at night she loves our bed more I sleep on my side and she curls right up under my chin, so snuggly, I love it.

I think my boys like the sheets and comforters more than they like me. Wherever I stack fresh bedding, they would be willing to sleep. As long as we are in the same room, relatively close, that is.
