Anybody with Just Yorkie/s & Childfree? Just wanted to know how many Yorkietalkers do not have skin kids and just have Yorkie or Yorkies? |
My skinkids are grown up, does that count? I have no children at home, just me, the DH and the Gunner. |

No skin kids, although we really want them. Wall-e fills that part of my heart until then. I sometimes worry that I'll end up preferring Wall-e over my one-day kids! |

Me, too! Tatiana is our only child. That's how my husband and I refer to her. :) My husband and I do not want children. When I was younger, people often asked me,"When are you going to have a baby?" I would always answer,"I don't want a baby. I rather have a puppy than a baby." Now we have Tatiana! :) |
Same here, saw how messed up it got having kids when I was in Army, never wanted them, wife same, never wanted any (got lucky finding her after on the fourth try, lol). Sig was our kid for 14 years, 8 months, much better behaved then the skin kids we see around. She was never more then arms length away, ready to work or play her entire life, always happy to see us no matter what. Never had a dog that was not 100% loving, trustworthy, having seen others skin kids, can't say the same, especially now in this new gimme world. |

Nope, just me and hubby no kid's. We have had a total of 11 Yorkies, 8 of them have since passed on. Only have my 3 yorkie girl's now. Out of those 11 all but 3 have been adopted rescues. |
Not married & no children for me. All my adult life I've had Yorkies & now I have a Shih Tzu too. |
Just me, hubby, and our 3 furkids here! They are our kids, for sure. We just never had that strong drive to bring skin kids into the world. I LOVE being just a fur Mom :love:. |
Its just me and Draco. And aparently when I was 8 or so I told my parents I didn't want to get married or have any kids, I just wanted a house filled with dogs haha. So far I'm 24, umarried, with one dog eh. hah |

To be perfectly honest, I am not sure about having kids. I am young and realize I could certainly change my mind. But if I do decide I want kids, it won't be until my 30s for sure. I've learned from my family's mistakes of having babies TOO young and I also just really enjoy my freedom and free time, I also have gotten to have a hand in raising my 3 siblings as I am so much older so it's not like I don't get the 'joys' of kids :p The guy I am kindof/sort of seeing feels the same way. So yes it's just Jackson and I at the moment though I hope to add a 2nd dog within the next few years. |

Brit, I totally agree with detesting the term "skin kid"! Anyway, I have 3 of them (2 still at home), and 3 fur kids. We have 2 girls--the oldest and youngest with the boy stuck in the middle for both types of kids! |
Childfree by choice & very happy. Didn't get my first dog, Dolly, 'til I was 49 & finally felt "grown-up" enough to commit to the responsibility of dog ownership. Now I couldn't live without 1 or 2! |
