My 4 1/2 year yorkie Pebbles just died!!! I have 2 yorkies Pebbles and Bam-Bam, they never go outside the house not even to potty. They only go to the same groomer that they adored. My husband took them this morning and in 15 minutes he got a call that Pebbles died. the groomer put her in the table and she was telling her how pretty she was and blood came from her little nose and she died immediatly. She start running to the next door vet and they told her nothing could be done. It could have been a stroke or a heart attack. She was in good health, with all her shots, she did have a collapse traquea very common in yorkies and her been so little with a doll face sometime you can listen to her little wheezing. We are beyond devastated and still in shock!! She was one little precious dog!!! with her little tongue always sticking out!! RIP our sweet Angel.... |
oh my dear god that is just horrible. I am so very sorry for your loss of Pebbles. May she RIP....I can only imagine your shock and horror. I am just so sorry for your loss. |
Oh no! I'm so sorry... RIP Little Pebbles. Praying for you both... |
How impossibly devastating this is for you! I am so very sorry. Please have an autopsy done so you can know what in the world happened to this healthy, young little lady! |
I am so very sorry for the sudden loss of your little Pebbles. My heart goes out to you, I know how devastating it is to lose one much too young. I just lost my 5 yr. old two weeks ago. |
rip so so sorry!:( |
RIP Little Pebbles............. Please have autopsy done................ |
So very sorry for your crushing news about your little baby. Bless your heart we all hurt with you and your family. I will be praying for you for your broken heart. |
My heart goes out to you on your tragic loss. I would have an autopsy done. I nearly lost my pom at the groomers because they left a cage dryer on her and she got heat stroke. I rushed her to my vet and they were able to stabilize her. If I hadn't picker her up when I did she would have died. I am so sorry. |
so sorry RIP sweet girl |

Oh Im so sorry!!!! How awful!!! |
I'm so sorry this happened to your little baby just out of the blue. Poor little thing - at least it sounds as if it happened quickly with no time for suffering. I'm so sorry she is gone and the pain and loss with no answers are what you are left with. Losing a family member like this just out of the blue is such a shock that it's hard to wrap your mind around it for the longest time so give yourself time to get past the shock, the disbelief, then the grief, anger and sadness and hurt of loss. It will take you some time to get your grips so don't rush yourselves or be too hard on yourself or your seemingly numb brain for the next weeks and don't be afraid to grieve. I hate to bring this up but I would question the circumstances of her sudden death. If she was a normal, healthy dog with CT, perhaps her condition escalated and proper medical attention not obtained for her in time, perhaps she fell off the table or suffered some blunt force trauma so perhaps a necropsy done by her vet might be considered and private talks with any employees away from the salon. At least you might know what caused this tragic, sudden death. The only thing that could make this worse is that it was abuse or negligence. R.I.P., little Pebbles. |
My heart aches for you... may Pebbles rest in peace. |
I am so very sorry for the sudden lose of your sweet Pebbles :( |
I'm very sorry for your loss! Yesterday I posted a link to an article about the causes of death of dogs at groomers. From the article: "Blunt-force trauma was responsible for the deaths of 31% of the animals, with a higher incidence of trauma to the head, characterized chiefly by fractures and nervous tissue lesions. In the other 69% of cases, the animals showed signs of stress, and died due to pulmonary edema and hemorrhage." For your own peace of mind, I hope you have an autopsy done to find out exactly what happened. |
So sorry for your loss!!! :( |
What a tragedy! I am so sorry to hear this. I advocate strongly for the autopsy so your family can heal with peace of mind. Warm hugs. |
I'm so sorry for your loss. That's way too young. I agree with the others, for your own peace of mind, I'd have a necropsy done. |
Oh my gosh, this had to be devastating news. I am SO sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you. |
Something doesnt seem right with this groomers story of what happened I would have a necropsy done |
Sending prayers your way. So very sorry this has happened to your little girl. |

I am so very sorry, what a horribly sad tragedy. Please have an autopsy done to rule out blunt force trauma, as you may not be getting the true/full story here. :( |
My heart is breaking for you and your family. I can\'t imagine the pain and sense of loss. You will be in my prayers and thoughts. |
