Natalie Nelson Hi yorkie lovers!! You have all been amazing and supportive openly and privately. Mila had her one month out of surgery check up on Friday. She is doing amazing!!! So far there is no anticipated complications. She even has done stairs which she hasnt been able to do. I'm so excited about her progress. She can walk in a straight line and without a hunchback. It was so hard to watch her all that time when she couldn't even use her pp pad without falling over. It's a whole new world for her lol. In two weeks they X-ray to see how her pins are and remove her cast. I can't wait for her to see what life's like for a normal baby princess!!! Yay!! As for her breeder Natalie Nelson it infuriates me that she chose To ignore my pleas for help when Mila stopped walking so little. But I'm a believer in karma. Kiss your healthy babies everyone!! We are so lucky for what they bring to our lives. I feel so blessed that Mila is doing so great! May everyone find a rainbow with a pot of gold tomorrow: ) |
WOW! Awesome news about Mila! She must be so excited. |
So very glad to hear this!! |
I am so happy your baby is doing better. |
That's wonderful news! Good for Mila! |
Genetic defects in Natalie Nelson's breeding lines You are not the only one who has bought a puppy with this problem, you are at least the third that I know of. Yes, it is genetic and Natalie knows about it in her breeding line but still cranks out litter after litter and just offers to "replace" the puppy...as if they are replaceable and disposable! It literally sickens me, if you ever decide to file suit against her please contact me. Or if anyone out there needs other names of past customers who have purchased sick puppies, feel free to contact me. Or just search her name on here for a start, you are so not alone. I'm glad your little girl is doing well. For some of us, $7,000 in medical bills or the life saving surgery wasn't an option. Natalie should be footing the bills for her greedy practices. |
I wanted to add that my little girl had AAI was $4500 and came from Natalie. She had to be put to sleep on the advice of the vet that she would not get better. I alerted her years ago that this was genetic and if you search you will find another customer that also lost a puppy from her with AAI so for her to say in 35 years this has never come up is deplorable. Who knows how many times she's been alerted because her first question to me was wanting to know the parents names...so she knows it's in her lines! |

Pretty I am so sorry your little one had to be put down after her AAl . It makes me so angry to think of Natalie cranking out litter after litter of sick puppies at our experience and heartache. I wrote about a tiny sick dog named Valentino that has been extremely sick. He also was just diagnosed with AAl. The poor pups skull looks like Swiss cheese. Please take a look back at my posts and look up his pics. It's sad and sick. Natalie is playing god breeding these pups for her own greed then saying she has never had this happen, I'm the first. SHE IS A LIAR and a horrible breeder. If you would like to private message me your impersonal information I am working on something and would love if you could send me facts and statements on your experiences with Natalie Nelson's breeding. On a happier note and oh so cute Mila is out of surgery almost 6 weeks! Friday she gets her neck cast off and x rays to see if her pins are in place. At 13 months old it will be a entire new world being able to walk, play, and even started wagging her tail!!! Yay! Again thank you all so much for your well wishes. I wish I could have you all over for a doggie play date!!! |
Wonderful news!! Sorry for all you and Mila had to endure. |
I mentioned AAI to Natalie two years ago and I found a post from someone who had a friend buy one of her puppies in 2011 that had to be put down due to AAI. Natalie replaced that puppy and the replacement puppy died 2days later. Amazing that she told you that you were the first. I sent you my information, I would like to email you the list of other complaints, it's too long to message. A dozen people counting us. Sad that it's probably a drop in the bucket. |

I only found one report. And it was a bit questionable. |

Update I try to keep up with the complaints against Natalie Nelson of Natalie's Little Yorkies or Natalie's Wee Yorkies because I'm hoping to end her reign of heartbreak that she's doing to dogs and humans. I came across another review of her that not only mentioned a puppy with numerous health problems but a "retired" one also. She tried to tell new or past customers that she doesn't know about all these problems but hopefully the more people that come forward the sooner she'll have to face what she's doing. I deeply believe more and more people will google her name before purchasing from her, if they do, they will find all this information and stop. Here is Annie's story. Annie O. Arlington, VA 5/2/2014 Here is my experience with Natalie's puppies and adult dogs: Natalie will "retire" the adults and sometimes give them away or sell them. So, to make a very long story short, I am one of those who has had the unfortunate experience of 1. Purchasing a puppy that has numerous irreparable genetic defects and 2. Was "given" a retired dog who had numerous (I think it was around 20) rotted and abscessed teeth, seizures, 2 strokes and remained partially paralyzed after the first stroke. We eventually "laid her to rest" as I couldn't bear to watch her suffer anymore. As for the puppy, well, he's still with me, but has seizures due to internal liver shunts and must be on medication. His liver is also pushed up in his chest cavity and is 1/3 of the size that it should be. This is not a reversible condition. Total cost to date including purchase: 35K and continuing as we must go to the vet every three months for blood work. Medication monthly runs about 100. Should someone chose to purchase a puppy, from anyone, I was advised by a veterinarian (I now have 4 of them across the country because my little guy needs one wherever I go) to make sure the puppy is accompanied with a 2 year health guarantee. Should someone chose to adopt or purchase a retired adult, first take them to the vet for a health check (prior to cutting a check). Ensure that the veterinarian thoroughly checks the dogs teeth, performs blood tests for liver anomalies and diseases and maybe even perform an x'ray or scan the liver. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of... Well you know. PS - When I told Natalie what was occurring with the puppy she did not offer to refund my money or replace the puppy. I was informed the health warranty was expired. Interesting that you normally can't tell genetic defects until after the first couple of years and her warranty covered how long again? No irony there. |

You have gone far beyond the call by doing so much for this pup despite his grim health outlook. That woman needs to pay for the suffering she has caused. Have you consulted a lawyer? Does your state have any kind of protection for those who purchase dogs? Health guarantees can be very deceiving. Those written by people like her are usually written only for the protection of the breeder. Most prospective buyers do not realize the possibilities when they are about to purchase a puppy. I hope your warning will help someone to avoid this type of breeder. There must be a lot of people who have been taken in by this breeder. Maybe there is a way to get several of you together so you can come up with a plan. There is strength in numbers. |

All I can do is hope, just one person came across the many threads on here and didn't purchase from her. She'll stop breeding if she stops making money. |
I don't know how some people sleep at night. |
I have been gone for a while and got to thinking today about little Mila. Have there been any updates lately? |
Mila update Hello and welcome back!!! Mila is doing absolutely wonderful it is so thoughtful of you to ask :) I am so blessed that after so much treatment and care , Mila lives as a full blown princess lol. She never had any further complications from her surgery. I have made many internet friends on this sight and through my personal email address which I have posted everywhere on Internet regarding other dogs that weren't as lucky as Mila all bought from the same bad breeder. My heart goes out to everyone that has got puppies from Natalie's yorkies. I wish everyone a wonderful fall :) enjoy every precious minute with your babies! |
