Are girls or boys yorkies more loving x Hi guys I have a question on yorkie girls and boys what are the more loving of the two because my little girl is grumpy but my boy is loving :)just interested in what y'all think xxx. |
I have 2 boys and 1 girl. My boy Marcel is the most loving - he adores cuddling, being held, being massaged/petted...he is goo in your hands, whenever you want it. My other two are more cuddly on their terms as far as when/where...but they are also cuddly and loving. I've heard from a lot of people that many girls are grumpy, but our girl Pfeiffer is the total opposite, I don't know why...she's just happy go lucky to the max. Oh you're in LONDON...so envious...I'm an anglophile, incurable. |
My little girl is very lovey but she is an only child. |
My male is a cuddle whore :p my female she will cuddle when she feels like it which is rare. |
My girl thrives on cuddles, she wants in my night gown and carried around , she sticks to me like glue lol, my 2 boys are cuddle monsters too but not to the extreme of the girl .. |
I'm in London yes but I love the USA here in England I struggle trying to get yorkie meet ups started and things like that x. |

I seriously love England / GB ... I probably know more about England's history than the US's. |
It really depends on the dog more then there sex. I have a girl that is extremely loving like crazy lol every ends up falling in love with her because she will cuddle up with them. |
Draco's a real cuddle bug, but he's my only Yorkie, and I've only ever had one dog that was ever just mine and he was male too but not as cuddling though he was more on his own terms. I did however find this site a few days ago. They have this page which I think has some truth. Females VS. Males |
chester is very loving |
I have had three girls and three boys in my lifetime. All three boys (yorkie mix, GSD mix and a schnauzer) were more loving and cuddly and my three girls (yorkie, lhasa apso and poodle/pug mix) were a little more independant and cuddled when they felt like it. But the girl were sweet and loving girls just the same. |
For me I would say boys because I've had chuie for little over a week now and he is so attached already, whenever I put him on the floor forget about it lol this little boy cries until I pick him up he prefers to sleep with me on my bed, people say I'm spoiling him but whatever he's my first pet so that may be the reason, let me add that is soooo quiet and loves to cuddle |
Our little Gracie is very loving. She makes it clear if she wants her mommy or daddy with me and DH. However I have always heard that for the most part boys are more loving. |
It is my experience that girls are just like females of any species...we have moods and moody days! My boys are so loving, at any time...never cope that prissy attitude....even when they get their feelings hurt, they get over it almost immediately, where as my girls will pout for hours.....the breeding males are more "Conan the Protector and Defender" characters....and while I am loving on them, they are watching around to be sure we are not being conquered or invaded by anything or anyone....my little males that have been neutered are nothing but a mass of lovable goo....they lay in my arms, staring lovingly, devotedly, into my eyes....wanting nothing more than for me to love on them and kiss on them.... |
I have 2 girls and a boy. Max is as loving as could be. He always wants a lap to curl up in, looks at you adoration and just wants attention. Tatiana is my littlest cuddle bug, my shadow, lap warmer, puppy kisser and always wants to be held! She is just precious in every way! Now, Teeka is my Diva! She decides when she wants held, cuddled and will pout if she doesn't like something! So, I am not sure it is the sex of a yorkie as much as the temperament of the individual! |

I don't know about females, but Bull is definitely a momma's boy. However, I have to say, that he really enjoys playing with his human sister and his fur siblings a lot, and when he is in that mood, he forgets about me! |
I think if just depends on the individual doggie. Halle would love to be held all day & you could just melt in her eyes. Spike wants to be cuddled when he wants to be. When you're holding him, if he wants his belly rubbed, he just flops backward. This little guy's got the devil in his little beady eyes. He's so adorable. They are both cuddle bugs in their own way. |
I agree with those who have opined that it depends on the individual personalities, not so much the sex of the yorkie. My little male loves being close during car rides, floor time (romping and snuggling in equal measure), and sleeping with us. He sometimes wants to sleep on a lap, but usually gets too warm. My little girl, on the other hand, is a snuggler and smoocher whether you wish her to be or not. Kisses will be given without warning and often right in the middle of an unrelated activity. No face, eye, ear, neck, toe, finger, or lip is safe from her quick little tongue. She snuggles up under my chin to sleep at night, curls up in my arms while I'm watching tv, and follows me devotedly (although, to be fair, the boy does, too--as well as the cat! My bathroom can be quite densely populated and the most unremarkable events well-attended.) Being young, loving gestures can be dependent upon how well their energy has been exhausted and how well they are feeling, but overall I'd say that BOTH are loving in their own ways. |
Toki and Teddy have very different personalities. Teddy is definitely very snuggly and always has to be in a lap or right behind you even if you get up for just a moment for some water. Toki is more independent...although she will sometimes snuggle with you, she seems to prefer putzing around the place or napping in various beds throughout our apartment whereas Teddy is always within eyesight of us. Both very affectionate but in different ways. |
