| Puppy spills over her water when she is alone! I have a sturdy stainless steel bowl for my 10 week old yorkie and there is no way she can tip over the bowl.. But somehow everything gets spilled! She usually does this either in the morning or if I leave the house for short periods of time. The water then ends up in her kibble as well and her pen just becomes a mess. I'm worried that if I'm not home all of her food and water will get spilled.. Leaving her with nothing Do your puppies do this.. And is there a way to stop it? I'm not exactly sure how the spills happen but I have a camera for when I leave and she sometimes jumps around the walls of the pen trying to get out.. so I'm assuming she could be stepping in the water. Advice on how to train her out of this? |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | You could try a different type of water container like a gerbil water bottle that hooks to the kennel or x-pen.

| Does the bowl have grip on the bottom to keep from slipping? Like Nancy said you could use a different water bowl, like the fountain or the gerbil feeder. Yorkietalk member Mimimomo has a wonderful website toplinepet.com and she sells water bottle converters...it fits normal water bottles and then they lick from the spout. I'm thinking of getting them for my girls BC I can't stand how wet and messy they get.
